(Fatherland) - In the ancient and splendid space of Kien Trung Palace (Hue Imperial City), the exhibition "Convergence of Antiquities" has brought interesting experiences to many people and tourists.
On the afternoon of June 22, at Kien Trung Palace (Hue Imperial City), the Hue Monuments Conservation Center in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Antiquities Association and a number of domestic collectors organized an exhibition with the theme "Convergence of Antiquities". The exhibition aims to introduce to the public the country's precious antiquities that have been painstakingly collected by antiquities collectors.
At the exhibition opening ceremony, a number of organizations and individuals donated artifacts to the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum. This action has great significance in preserving national cultural heritage.
The Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center awarded certificates of merit to individuals who discovered, submitted and donated antiquities to the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum.
The exhibition "Convergence of Antiquities" is held from June 22 to July 21, 2024 at Kien Trung Palace with the participation of 29 domestic antique collectors.
The exhibition introduces 147 antiques crafted during the Nguyen Dynasty, used in the royal court and among the people, crafted by the royal court's statue bureau, by domestic production facilities or purchased from abroad through trade activities for use in the royal court and among the people.
The collections of artifacts gathered on this occasion are diverse in materials (elephant enamel, gold, silver, gold-inlaid silver, jade, porcelain, wood, etc.), diverse in functions (daily life, worship, decoration, entertainment, etc.), rich in types and origins (porcelain and enamel enamel from the Nguyen Dynasty, Cay Mai pottery lines, artifacts dating from the 19th century, etc.).

According to the Organizing Committee, the exhibition "Antiques Convergence" is an opportunity for domestic antique collectors to exchange and share experiences in collecting antiques. "This exhibition also creates new and interesting experiences for people and tourists when visiting the heritage space," said Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center.
