On the afternoon of April 22, a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, led by Comrade Tong Quang Thin, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers in Nho Quan district. Accompanying them were leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches, and organizations, and leaders of Nho Quan district.

Comrade Tong Quang Thin, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee   and the delegation visited the family of Mr. Do Van Can (102 years old), a Dien Bien soldier in Phuc Loc village, Phu Loc commune and Mrs. Truong Thi Su (96 years old), a Dien Bien soldier in Hoi Tien 1 village, Quynh Luu commune.

At the families he visited, Mr. Tong Quang Thin, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, kindly inquired about the health and life of the elderly and their families; expressed the deep gratitude and appreciation of the Party Committee, Government and People of the province for the great contributions of the Dien Bien soldiers, contributing to the Dien Bien Phu victory "famous in five continents, shaking the earth".
