On the morning of October 24, Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council visited the high-quality rice seed production model of ThaiBinh Seed Group Joint Stock Company at the Institute of Crop Research, Dong Xa Commune (Dong Hung). Accompanying him was Comrade Nguyen Van Giang, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission.

At the Institute of Crop Research, the delegation visited the testing area to demonstrate some hybrid rice varieties such as: Thai Xuyen 111, QL301, Phuc Thai 168, TBH222 and inspected the production area of TBR39 rice variety; visited the Biotechnology Department.

The delegation inspected the field of the project: “Research, conservation, restoration and development of Be sticky rice (Keo sticky rice)” to build the brand of Thai Binh specialty rice. After 3 years of implementation, the Institute of Crop Research has successfully restored Be sticky rice, with advantages such as: Good growth, high yield, resistance to diseases, good rice quality.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and other comrades in the delegation visited the TBR39 rice variety production model. Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council inspected the implementation of the project "Research, conservation, restoration and development of Be sticky rice variety (Keo sticky rice)". Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and other comrades in the delegation visited the hybrid rice demonstration area.

Through the field inspection, Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the results in research and selection of plant varieties of ThaiBinh Seed Group Joint Stock Company, especially the restoration of Be sticky rice variety and production of TBR 39 rice variety.

He emphasized that ensuring food security is a key task. In the coming time, the Company needs to have production links between enterprises and farmers to build the Thai Binh rice brand together with enterprises; continue to research, apply and deploy rice varieties, restore rice varieties to improve rice quality, suitable for the needs of the market and consumers; the Company needs to expand and dominate domestic and foreign markets, striving to be one of the leading enterprises in the Vietnamese plant seed industry.
