On the afternoon of November 4, the Vietnamese women's team arrived at the international lobby of Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi), concluding the second qualifying round of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Before that, coach Mai Duc Chung's team left Uzbekistan at 9:30 p.m. (local time), transiting at Incheon Airport (Seoul, South Korea) before returning to Vietnam.
After landing at Noi Bai airport, according to plan, the four players including Huynh Nhu, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Ngan, Tran Thi Kim Thanh and Tran Thi Thu will connect to a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. However, due to some changes in the itinerary, Huynh Nhu and Tuyet Ngan will travel on the flight after the team (both are currently traveling from Korea to Vietnam).

Vietnam women's team returns
In the second round of the Olympic qualifiers, Huynh Nhu and her teammates had a record of 1 win, 2 losses, finishing third in Group C, unable to enter the third round of the qualifiers. The Olympic qualifiers also ended a busy 2023 for the Vietnamese women's team when competing in the SEA Games, ASIAD, Olympic qualifiers and World Cup, spanning from March until now.
Talking about the team's journey, coach Mai Duc Chung said: "The team spirit is quite excited. Although the team could not advance to the third qualifying round of the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Vietnamese women's team played their best. I would like to thank everyone for their interest and support for the team. I am very touched by the affection of the audience and media at home and abroad."
Mr. Mai Duc Chung continued: "For me at this time, the feelings and sharing with my students will never fade. We will always respect and care for each other."
Although the Vietnamese women's team has completed their international missions in 2023, from November 16, they will continue to compete in the national women's football championship with two home and away matches.
