This is one of two friendly matches of the Vietnam futsal team in preparation for the 2024 Asian futsal qualifiers. The Hungarian futsal team is currently ranked 28th in the FIFA rankings and has players with outstanding height. However, after the opening whistle, the home team played very excitedly with the cheers of the fans.

Coach Diego Giustozzi and his team played coherently, with many notable combinations. Players like Minh Quang, Thai Huy and pivo Minh Tri all had dangerous opportunities. Unfortunately, they were not able to take advantage of the opportunities to open the score. Despite attacking a lot but not scoring a goal, the Vietnamese futsal team paid the price.

A few minutes later, Droth Zoltan had a favorable pass for Kelvin to widen the gap to 3 goals. With nothing left to lose, the Vietnamese futsal players rose up strongly and boldly applied the power-play tactic.

With this tactic, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team scored a consolation goal thanks to Minh Tri and lost another goal when Vas Adam took advantage of the opportunity. At the end of the friendly match, the Vietnamese futsal team had to accept a 1-4 defeat against the Hungarian futsal team. On September 19, the Vietnamese futsal team will have another international friendly match with the very strong Russian futsal team, also at the Lanh Binh Thang Stadium (HCMC).
