On May 27, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the People's Committee of Kim Son district organized a direct dialogue with 300 poor and near-poor households in Kim Son district.
The dialogue received nearly 30 opinions from poor and near-poor households. The opinions focused on the following contents: Credit policies, employment for workers, vocational training associated with job creation, support for housing construction and repair, livelihood support for poor and near-poor households, support policies for lonely elderly people with no place to rely on, single mothers with children, tuition support policies for children to go to school... Many poor and near-poor households also shared the difficulties in escaping poverty of their families.
At the dialogue, representatives of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Kim Son district and related sectors thoroughly answered questions and recommendations of the poor and near-poor. Thereby, they could better grasp the reality, circumstances and specific needs of each poor household, thereby proposing appropriate poverty reduction support solutions, helping the poor and near-poor to escape poverty sustainably.
In particular, at the dialogue, representatives of poor and near-poor households in the district were informed about the Party and State's policies on poverty reduction and policies to support the poor. In addition to the central government's policies, Ninh Binh province also implements many separate policies on health care, education, and support for poor and near-poor households to access basic social services.
Through the dialogue, the relevant agencies will make adjustments, proposals and recommendations to relevant agencies to find practical support solutions that are suitable to the needs and conditions of the poor, helping the poor have more motivation and resources to escape poverty sustainably.
