The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2023 (DIFF 2023) has completed four nights of qualifying rounds, with eight teams from the following countries competing: Finland, Canada, France, Australia, Italy, the United Kingdom, Poland, and the host city Da Nang (Vietnam).
The judging panel for DIFF 2023 included renowned artists and musicians, as well as heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Vietnam. During the judging process, the panel received timely advice from the consulting firm Global 2000.
On the morning of June 25th, the judging panel held a meeting to select the two teams with the highest scores to compete in the final night. Based on the highest scores, the judging panel announced that the French and Italian teams officially qualified to compete in the DIFF 2023 final night.
To ensure objectivity in the final round, the judging panel also conducted a draw to determine the performance order. As a result, the Italian team performed first; the French team performed second.
The final night will be a showdown between Italy and France.
In particular, with the outstanding and high-quality performances from the participating teams at DIFF 2023, the Organizing Committee of DIFF 2023 has decided to double the prize money. Accordingly, the winning team will receive a prize of 20,000 USD, a trophy, and a certificate, while the runner-up team will receive a prize of 10,000 USD, a trophy, and a certificate.
In addition, based on the judges' recommendations, the Organizing Committee also agreed to award two more prizes: the Innovation Award and the Audience Favorite Award, each worth $3,000 and a certificate.
The awards will be announced and presented immediately after the final performances conclude.
The DIFF 2023 final night, with the theme " A World Without Borders," will take place on July 8th.
