These days, Mr. Hai Chuong's bougainvillea trellis is in full bloom. Every year, during the dry season, bougainvillea blooms.
Mr. Hai Chuong's bougainvillea trellis is located at the end of Pham Van Dong Street, close to the Ca Ty River and right in front of the Dong Hai Church gate, in Hung Long Ward, Phan Thiet City.
Bougainvillea is commonly grown in dry, windy coastal areas. The sunnier it is, the more the flowers bloom and the more brilliant their colors are. This simple plant, when planted in rows, will create beautiful layers of flowers.
The homeowner said that the bougainvillea trellis blooms most beautifully from February to May. In the evenings or on weekends, many couples, girls and women wearing traditional Vietnamese dresses come to this bougainvillea trellis to take souvenir photos.
Young people often invite each other to Mr. Hai Chuong's house to take pictures and film. They can drink water or not, all are welcomed by the host.
Underneath the bougainvillea trellis, Mr. Hai Chuong sells drinks and food at night, so this place is always crowded.
In particular, the bougainvillea trellis is right in front of Phan Thiet port, where tourists often take the boat to Phu Quy island.

Thanh Tam, from Ho Chi Minh City, said she knew about this bougainvillea trellis when she searched for Phan Thiet tourism information on social networks, so as soon as she arrived, she immediately went to Mr. Hai Chuong's house.
"In recent years, visitors who get off the boat to Phu Quy Island and then return to the mainland all come to my shop to rest and drink, so more people know about this bougainvillea trellis. My family didn't think that planting bougainvillea would make so many people come to see it today," Mr. Hai Chuong shared.

The homeowner's family planted these bougainvillea trees 13 years ago, when they first built the house. The person who planted the bougainvillea trellis was Mr. Nguyen Khanh, a traditional music artist who sang Cai Luong every night on the banks of the Ca Ty River.

"My father used to be a Cai Luong amateur artist in the Anh Sao troupe, performing every Friday night on the banks of the Ca Ty River. The bougainvillea trellis was planted by my father, and now he is 84 years old and weak," said Mr. Hai Chuong.

In Phan Thiet City, there are many streets planted with bougainvillea, the most on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, with hundreds of bougainvillea trees blooming in the dry season. But the bougainvillea trellis next to Dong Hai Church, close to Ca Ty River of Mr. Hai Chuong's house is the most unique at present, always attracting young people and tourists to take souvenir photos.
