'The Unique' - a new and exciting police crime drama about to air on television

On August 27, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Television Film Production Center (VFC) held a press conference to launch the TV series “Doc Dao”, part of the criminal police series. The film was directed by the duo Pham Gia Phuong and Tran Trong Khoi.

“The Unique Path” tells the story of Hong’s journey to find justice for his family – an unfortunate child who lost both his parents and his only relative, his younger brother. After the great incident, Hong became a homeless child and was taken home by Mrs. Moc – the second wife of Le Toan, a mafia boss who has now washed his hands of the sword. Hong was trusted by Mr. Toan and chosen to run the Le family’s business.

However, in the process of searching for the truth about her parents' death, Hong discovered that her adoptive father Le Toan was related to Quan "old", Hung "cough", Duong "muscle" - 3 notorious transnational drug lords who could have caused the tragedy for Hong's family. Doubt, hatred and gratitude made Hong waver between the line of good and evil.

To get to the bottom of the truth, Hong got deeper into complicated relationships, dangerous “deliveries” and became the “core” holding many secrets of the criminal group. At the same time, Hong was also an important “link” helping the police force destroy a large drug ring.

While Hong was following the bosses, he did not know that all of his actions as well as the criminal group were under the police's surveillance. Lieutenant Colonel Long - Head of the Drug Investigation Department was transferred from the province to be deputy to Phung - Head of the District Police; at the same time, he was also a long-time friend of Long.

Long's mission was extremely difficult because he not only had to fight the criminal group led by "old" Quan but also had to find his backer, who was right in the police force. After several contacts, discovering that Hong was very intelligent, sophisticated and had hidden feelings, Long identified Hong as the "strategic character" for his project.

On one side is Hong, on the other side is the support of secret agents embedded in the crime ring, Long gets closer to the "bosses" and the location of the secret drug bunker. As they delve deeper into their target, Long and Hong realize that behind the large shipments, the crimes, the financial benefits is a "history" of "hatred" and "gratitude", "familiarity" turned into "hostility" between people who considered each other brothers, comrades on the same front...

The film focuses on Hong, a victim of crime, exposing the plots of those who spread "white death" to society for money. The film helps viewers better understand the police force - those who silently sacrifice themselves, risk their lives to protect the peace of the Fatherland.

The appeal of the movie “The Way” is the dangerous situations, when the righteous side is full of strategies, sacrifices and dedication, confronting the clever, cunning and brutal criminals. The movie also deeply explores the complex relationships, intertwined between “love” and “hate” of the characters, the pain, the struggle between conscience and hatred that is difficult to distinguish of Hong... The “turning” of the character Diem from the henchman of “old” Quan to become a “variable” in Hong’s life is also a highlight worth waiting for. In the midst of a tense and antagonistic storyline, the naivety and “game-breaking” of Khuong “Lieu”, Tan “Thai Tu” or Ly “Toet” has contributed to softening the story, creating more life atmosphere for a film genre that is considered dry.

The film crew representative said that "The One" has a relatively diverse setting, from the city to the mountainous areas. The film has large chase scenes with hundreds of actors, along with the support of the police force, bringing vivid images, realistically depicting the danger and tension... for the viewers.

The film is the next collaboration of the creative team of "Black Medicine" with two directors Pham Gia Phuong - Tran Trong Khoi, editor Trung Dung and DOP Tran Kim Vu. The youthful perspectives and modern filmmaking methods of the young creators bring an interesting and novel criminal police film.

The cast is also a notable highlight of “The Unique Way”. The close real-life duo Doan Quoc Dam - Duy Hung play the two brothers Hong - Khuong very naturally and create many emotions. Meanwhile, Meritorious Artist Chi Trung has completely “transformed”, when he is no longer a face with a strong sense of humor like his previous roles, instead he is cruel and sinister. Notably, the film also features veteran actors such as Meritorious Artists: Hoang Hai, Ho Phong, Nguyet Hang, artist Vinh Xuong and talented actors such as Bao Anh, Ha Viet Dung, Viet Hoa, Duy Nam, Ha Trung...

The film will air from September 2 at 9:40 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday on VTV3.
