The Vietnamese Paralympic Sports Delegation continued to impress by winning 11 more gold medals on the second official competition day at the 12th ASEAN Para Games (held in Cambodia).

The swimming team won 6 gold medals for the Vietnamese disabled sports delegation on June 5.
The six gold medals of the swimming team belonged to swimmers Danh Hoa (2 gold medals), Do Thanh Hai, Vo Huynh Anh Khoa, Nguyen Hoang Nha and Vo Thanh Tung.
Notably, Danh Hoa, Do Thanh Hai, Vo Huynh Anh Khoa and Nguyen Hoang Nha all broke the ASEAN Para Games record.
Along with swimming, track and field athletes also continued to compete successfully to bring home 3 gold medals on the second official competition day at the 12th ASEAN Para Games.
Three gold medals in athletics respectively went to Nguyen Thi Hai, Ngo Thi Lan Thanh and Tran Van Nguyen.
Meanwhile, athlete Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan competed excellently to bring home 2 gold medals in the 55kg weightlifting category, and broke the ASEAN Para Games record.
With this achievement, the Vietnamese disabled sports delegation won a total of 29 gold medals, 26 silver medals and 39 bronze medals, ranking 3rd on the medal tally at the 12th ASEAN Para Games.
The Indonesian Paralympic delegation is dominating the overall rankings with 62 gold medals, 49 silver medals and 31 bronze medals.
The Thai Paralympic delegation won 19 gold medals on June 5 to rise to second place in the medal tally of the 12th Para Games.
The Malaysian sports delegation is also close to the top 3 when it has won a total of 23 gold medals.
The next positions respectively belong to the delegations of the Philippines, Myanmar, Singapore, Cambodia, Timor Leste, Brunei and Laos.
Today, June 6, the 12th ASEAN Para Games will enter the 3rd official competition day, promising to continue to be a fierce competition.
