On March 26, in Hue City, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR), Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee and Da Nang City People's Committee jointly organized the opening ceremony of a train running on the Hue - Da Nang route and vice versa with the name "Connecting Central Heritage".
During its initial operation, the "Connecting Central Heritage" train, consisting of 5 modern air-conditioned soft-seat carriages and 1 community activity carriage, promises to be an impressive "mobile" check-in point for visitors.
Leaders of Da Nang City People's Committee presented souvenirs to leaders of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee and Vietnam Railways Corporation at the opening ceremony.
Every day, Vietnam Railways Corporation will organize 2 pairs of trains with code HD1/2 and HD3/4 between Hue and Da Nang. In Hue, train HD1 departs from Hue Station at 7:45 am and arrives at Da Nang Station at 10:35 am; train HD3 departs from Hue Station at 2:25 pm and arrives at Da Nang Station at 5:40 pm. In Da Nang, train HD2 departs from Da Nang Station at 7:50 am and arrives at Hue Station at 11:05 am; train HD4 departs from Da Nang Station at 3:00 pm and arrives at Hue Station at 5:45 pm.
With a travel time of about 3 hours, the train will take visitors through Hai Van Pass - known as "The most majestic pass in the world" to Da Nang - a place with a long coastline honored as one of the six most beautiful beaches on the planet. And in the opposite direction, visitors will set foot on the heritage land of the ancient capital of Hue. From the train, visitors can admire the majestic and beautiful natural scenery, where the two regions of the South and the North intersect, with the Truong Son mountain range on one side and the immense ocean on the other.

With 2 trains departing in the morning and afternoon from Hue to Da Nang and vice versa, visitors can welcome the sunrise and sunset on Lang Co Bay - one of the most beautiful bays, on the most beautiful journey in the world.
After arriving at Hue and Da Nang stations, right in front of the stations, localities have arranged an automatic bicycle rental system using QR code scanning for the convenience of tourists visiting scenic spots. In particular, Thua Thien Hue province also applies a discount support policy for organizations and individuals when visiting tourist attractions in Hue (applicable once for each train ticket). It helps reduce pressure on road traffic, attracting international tourists on the heritage tourism journey of the three localities of Thua Thien Hue - Da Nang - Quang Nam, especially the wonderful experiences when enjoying the majestic beauty of the railway through Hai Van Pass.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee, said that after the opening ceremony, Thua Thien Hue province committed to continue directing relevant agencies and units to accompany and promote the train to tourism businesses, people and tourists; mobilize businesses to have preferential service policies, support connecting other modes of transport for passengers to continue their journey; ensure train safety; at the same time promote tourism specialties on trains to attract a large number of people and domestic and foreign tourists on the trains; achieve the desired goals and expectations with the meaningful name "Connecting Central Heritage".

The "Connecting Central Heritage" train is one of the efforts to connect regions and promote tourism by the People's Committee of Da Nang and the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province.
