On the evening of August 13, in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, the opening ceremony of the 6th National Red Cross Youth and Volunteer Camp took place with the theme "Green Volunteering - for a safe and humane community".
Delegation of Phu Tho province attended the camp.
The camp was jointly organized by the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Central Youth Union, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province. Nearly 500 youth delegates, outstanding Red Cross volunteers from across the country and international delegates from 11 national Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies around the world participated in the camp. The delegation from Phu Tho province was the Head of Emulation Cluster No. 4 - the Northern Midlands and Mountains provinces. The delegation had 11 members, including 7 campers who were association officials, youth and outstanding Red Cross volunteers from the province.
During the 3-day camp (from August 13-15), campers participated in many exciting activities such as: First aid skills competition; disaster prevention and response drills; video clip design competition on youth and Red Cross volunteer activities; community volunteer project debate competition; exchange, share, learn experiences, youth and Red Cross volunteer activity models...
The camp is an event held every 5 years to honor and commend the contributions and dedication of volunteers and young people in humanitarian activities; to educate the younger generation about compassion and community responsibility; and to provide an opportunity for delegates and campers who are volunteers and young people of the Red Cross to exchange, learn and share experiences in the field of humanitarian activities for the community.
Thereby, raising community awareness of the humanitarian values contributed and devoted to society by volunteers and young people of the Red Cross.
