Within the framework of the official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, on the morning of August 25, a high-ranking delegation of the Australian Parliament led by Ms. Sue Lines, President of the Senate, visited the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex.

In her welcoming speech, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh expressed her pleasure to welcome the delegation to visit the World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex - one of the prides of the people of Ninh Binh in particular and the people of Vietnam in general. At the same time, she expressed her hope that through the visit, the delegation would better understand the land and people of Ninh Binh, thereby promoting the tourism potential and strengths of Ninh Binh to investors and people of Australia, contributing to promoting the Vietnam-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, meeting the aspirations and practical interests of the people of the two countries, actively contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, friendship and development in the region as well as in the world.
Australian Senate President Sue Lines thanked the leaders of the Vietnamese National Assembly and Ninh Binh province for their warm and warm welcome to the delegation. Briefly introducing the Australian Parliament, Senate President Sue Lines also emphasized a number of areas of very effective cooperation between Australia and Vietnam, including cooperation on governance and public administration (PAPI). At the same time, she expressed her joy that this index in Ninh Binh is ranked at the highest level in the country (15th).
Visiting the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, President of the Australian Senate Sue Lines and members of the high-ranking delegation of the Australian Parliament expressed their gratitude for the dedication, friendliness and hospitality of the local tourism workers. At the same time, they were impressed by the outstanding global values of culture, history, geology and geomorphology of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex. The delegation highly appreciated Ninh Binh's efforts in preserving and promoting heritage values associated with sustainable tourism development.
In particular, after 10 years of being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage, Trang An has become a symbol of Vietnam's responsible commitment to implementing the UNESCO Convention on the protection of the world's natural and cultural heritage; an exemplary model in the world of the successful combination of economic development and sustainable tourism. Preserving and promoting Trang An heritage is also a cultural bridge connecting Vietnam and countries around the world for the goal and aspiration of peace with noble humanistic significance.
Expressing her impression of Trang An’s scenery, Australian Senate President Sue Line said that this was also a great highlight of her visit to Vietnam. At the same time, she affirmed that the visit would contribute to deepening the strategic partnership between Australia and Vietnam, thereby creating a foundation to further strengthen cooperation in many fields between Ninh Binh and Australian localities.
On this occasion, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Comrade Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee respectfully presented to Australian Senate President Sue Line a souvenir, a cultural symbol of Ninh Binh province.
