At the invitation of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), a high-ranking delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Comrade Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Negative Practices, and Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, visited and worked in the Republic of Venezuela from November 3-7.
During their stay in Venezuela, the high-ranking delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam laid flowers at the Ho Chi Minh Monument and the Temple of Liberation Soldiers and National Hero Simón Bolivar; met with President and Chairman of the PSUV Nicolás Maduro; held talks with the high-ranking delegation of the PSUV and signed a cooperation agreement between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the PSUV; worked and exchanged opinions with leaders of several ministries, sectors and localities of Venezuela to promote cooperation in a number of fields.
Comrade Phan Dinh Trac respectfully conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of health from General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to President of Venezuela, President of the PSUV Nicolás Maduro and other leaders of the Party and State of Venezuela.

During meetings and talks with senior leaders of the Venezuelan Party and State, comrade Phan Dinh Trac affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam consistently attach importance to the legacy of friendship established by the late President Hugo Chávez and senior leaders of Vietnam; always support the constitutional government headed by President Nicolás Maduro and efforts to promote political dialogue on the basis of respect for the Constitution and aspirations of the Venezuelan people.
Comrade Phan Dinh Trac affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam are ready and willing to tighten and deepen the good traditional friendship between the two countries, promote the strengths of each side, and contribute to the development of the two countries on the basis of solidarity, closeness of viewpoints on international issues, and common interests in the process of national construction and development.
President Nicolás Maduro and the PSUV leaders affirmed that the relationship between the two parties and the two countries is very strong; expressed deep admiration for the glorious historical victory of the Vietnamese people in the cause of national liberation and unification in the past, as well as the resounding victory in the economic field today, affirming that Vietnam will always be an example for Venezuela. Uncle Ho is always the belief that Venezuela looks up to.
President and Chairman of the PSUV Nicolás Maduro emphasized that the two countries are in a new context and are starting a new phase of cooperation, needing to strengthen cooperation in politics, economics, ideology, culture, and technology; bringing the relationship between the two countries and the two ruling parties to the highest level.

Comrade Phan Dinh Trac and senior leaders of the Venezuelan Party and State informed each other about the situation of each party and each country; exchanged opinions on a number of international issues of mutual concern; and agreed to promote the role of the two ruling parties to remove difficulties, strengthen and expand substantive and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties and the two countries in the new context.
Accordingly, the two parties will increase the exchange of experience, theory, party building and cadre training; promote the early organization of the 4th meeting of the Vietnam-Venezuela Intergovernmental Committee and activities to solemnly celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2024.
The senior leaders of the Party and State of Venezuela affirmed that they will create all favorable conditions for the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) to restart and expand cooperation in the oil and gas sector in Venezuela; wish to cooperate in the telecommunications sector with Vietnam and welcome the presence of the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) in Venezuela; re-promote cooperation in agriculture and fisheries; and agree to expand cooperation between the two countries in the field of traditional medicine, including cooperation in developing an acupuncture model in Venezuela.

On this occasion, comrade Phan Dinh Trac and First Vice President of PSUV Diosdado Cabello signed a Cooperation Agreement between the Communist Party of Vietnam and PSUV to create a foundation and framework for further expanding and developing the traditional solidarity and close relationship between the two parties.
In addition, the high-ranking delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam had meetings and exchanged opinions with the Auditor General, the Attorney General, the Minister of Public Works, the Minister of Home Affairs, Justice and Peace to exchange information and experience in preventing and combating corruption and cooperation in the fields of internal affairs and law between the two parties and the two countries.

Within the framework of the visit, the high-ranking delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam visited the International University of Communications (LAUICOM) and opened the photo exhibition "Traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Venezuela" organized by the Vietnam News Agency in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela.
The exhibition includes 34 typical photos, selected from the photo archives of the Vietnam News Agency and the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela, introducing important milestones in the development of the traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership between the two countries.

At LAUICOM, comrade Phan Dinh Trac talked with the collective of Venezuelan and international teachers and students; representatives of PSUV leaders, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Venezuela-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group about the relationship between Vietnam and Venezuela and Latin America, the foreign policy and relations of the Communist Party of Vietnam with political parties in Latin America, and about socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam.

On the occasion of the visit, Comrade Phan Dinh Trac and the high-ranking delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam met and expressed gratitude to the representative of the group of former guerrillas who participated in the Nguyen Van Troi campaign in October 1964 and presented the 2023 Foreign Information Award to the group of authors of the radio program "Vietnam in Venezuela" of Oyeven Radio.
