( Bqp.vn ) - On the afternoon of December 31, ship CSB 8005 and the Vietnam Coast Guard delegation led by Colonel Nguyen Minh Khanh, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Coast Guard Region 3, docked at Squadron 301 (Coast Guard Region 3), successfully concluding the visit and exchange with the Indian Coast Guard.

Welcome ceremony at the port of Squadron 301.

Throughout the nearly 6,000 nautical mile voyage, despite complex weather conditions, the working group maintained strict discipline, organized and implemented exchanges and experiences with the Indian Coast Guard on time and according to the set plan, ensuring absolute safety for people and technical equipment.

Within the framework of the visit, exchange and experience sharing with the Indian Coast Guard, the Vietnam Coast Guard delegation carried out activities such as: Visiting and paying a courtesy call to the Commander of Region 4 (Indian Coast Guard); visiting the Rescue and Search Center and Training Center of the Indian Coast Guard; sports exchange; cultural visit; joint training in search and rescue, fire prevention and fighting and oil spill response at sea. The above activities have contributed to further strengthening the traditional friendship between the two forces, enhancing mutual understanding and trust and creating a solid foundation for new areas of cooperation in the future.

According to Colonel Nguyen Minh Khanh, this visit and exchange is not only an opportunity for the two sides to enhance mutual understanding, improve coordination, deploy forces and handle emergency situations at sea, but also clearly demonstrates the role of the Vietnam Coast Guard in consolidating and promoting friendly cooperation with maritime law enforcement forces of countries in the region and the world. The Vietnam Coast Guard sending ships to visit and exchange with the Indian Coast Guard has profound political and diplomatic significance. It is both a bridge to promote friendship, enhance coordination and strengthen trust between the two forces, and clearly demonstrates the determination of the two sides in implementing the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation signed in 2015, thereby contributing to promoting the cooperation between the maritime law enforcement forces of the two countries to become increasingly in-depth, substantive and effective.
