Previous reports have suggested that the Galaxy S25 Ultra's highlight is a 6.9-inch flat display (slightly larger than the S24 Ultra's display), Quad-HD+ resolution, 120Hz variable refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. However, previous leaks have been uncertain whether Samsung will upgrade the brightness of this display.
Recently, Android Authority discovered that Samsung could offer its next flagship display brightness up to 3,000 nits.
The source also said that the S25 Ultra will be Samsung's first high-end phone to support seamless Android updates. It will have an A/B storage partition system, meaning software updates can be installed in the background.
The report also claims the S25 Ultra will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery and use UFS 4.0 internal storage.
Previously, it was revealed that the S25 Ultra will use a 4-camera system on the back. The cameras include a 200MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom. Both telephoto cameras have PDAF and OIS. The phone is also said to use a new version of the 1/2.76-inch JN1 sensor for the ultra-wide-angle camera, with a resolution of 50MP.
The device is expected to be equipped with a 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB/16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal memory.
The S25 Ultra is expected to come pre-installed with OneUI 7.1 user interface based on Android 15 operating system upon launch.
