On the morning of September 1, in order to honor the values of cultural heritage, the Hanoi Department of Tourism coordinated with the Vietnamese Village Communal House Club and the Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center to organize the event "Ao Dai connecting Tourism with Hanoi Heritage in 2024" through the streets and prominent historical sites of the capital.
This is a meaningful event to celebrate the 79th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024) and the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
The journey started at the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, then the bike group passed through historic streets such as Hoang Dieu, Dien Bien Phu, Hung Vuong, Phan Dinh Phung, and some landmarks such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, Hang Dau Water Tower, Long Bien Bridge, Dong Xuan Market. The journey ended at Doan Mon, Thang Long Imperial Citadel relic site.
Organizing events such as "Ao Dai Connecting Tourism with Hanoi Heritage" also contributes to promoting the capital's tourism industry to develop more strongly, through promoting the image of traditional Ao Dai and the unique cultural values of Hanoi.
The event hopes to spread widely to the community, helping domestic and foreign tourists understand more about the beauty of Ao Dai and the cultural heritage of the Capital.
Young couple Pham Quy Du and Bui Doan Thuy Quyen (car number 001) participated in the program with the desire to promote the culture and beauty of Vietnamese ao dai to people and international friends.
The image of people wearing Ao Dai cycling around the old streets of Hanoi will contribute to honoring the cultural heritage value of the capital and the beauty of traditional Ao Dai.
This is also a new experience activity attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists to the capital Hanoi; exploiting and honoring the traditional Ao Dai of the Vietnamese people associated with heritage and tourism to preserve and develop traditional cultural values of the nation; creating opportunities to promote and introduce Hanoi tourist destinations.
This is the opening activity for a series of events within the framework of the program "Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2024" connecting Ao Dai with Hanoi's heritage and tourist destinations.
The cycling group passed through O Quan Chuong.
Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Tran Trung Hieu said that the program is a new experience activity that attracts a large number of domestic and international tourists to the capital Hanoi, thereby stimulating tourism. "Through this activity, the capital's tourism industry creates beautiful images of Hanoi, promotes community spirit, and raises awareness of heritage protection," Mr. Hieu emphasized.
Previously, in 2023, the program "Cycling with Ao Dai to connect Hanoi's heritage for the first time" with a cycling journey around the capital attracted the participation of more than 150 people who love traditional national costumes.
