State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan has just issued a Directive on adjusting audit activities to coordinate in overcoming the consequences in localities affected by storm No. 3.

Accordingly, the State Auditor General requested the Heads of units assigned to audit in localities affected by storm No. 3 to promptly grasp the situation in localities (especially areas directly affected) and study and propose adjustments to the audit plan and audit organization plan.

The research contents propose adjustments in the direction of reducing the scope of audit, audited units, and shortening the audit time. The adjustments are made to the audit teams that are currently performing and are expected to be implemented from now until the end of the year.

State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan also requested that the review and adjustment must be carried out simultaneously with the requirement to ensure the quality and effectiveness of auditing activities, prevent negativity and affirm the reputation of the industry.

Flexible adaptation to the context and situation demonstrates the State Audit's spirit of sharing with the difficulties of localities and units, while still ensuring the successful completion of assigned political tasks.

Previously, the State Audit Office developed and issued the 2024 Audit Plan with 121 audit tasks, 8 tasks less than in 2023 and about 30% less than in 2022.

By the end of August 2024, the State Audit Office had deployed a total of 167 audit teams, including 166 audit teams following the audit organization plan from the beginning of the year; adding 5 audit teams and reducing 4 audit teams to meet practical requirements.
