Accordingly, the second Dien Hong Award in 2024 will continue to be carried out according to the regulations of the first Dien Hong Award in 2023, with some adjustments and additions.
Regarding the content of the works participating in the award, additional content will be added to reflect the significance and results of the National Assembly sessions, focusing on the 5th and 6th Sessions of the 15th National Assembly.

Regarding the scope and applicable subjects, foreign nationals whose press works meet the award criteria are eligible to submit their works to the award.
Additional works published in magazines (print and electronic) licensed by the competent State agency to operate press are eligible to participate in the award.
The maximum number of works that an author or group of authors can submit to the competition is 05. If the content or topic is the same, the author will not be allowed to submit to the competition in different categories.
For radio and television, the maximum group of authors is 10 people, including main positions such as: scriptwriter, editor, director, cameraman, and host.
At the same time, amend the regulations for authors who are members of the Judging Council to only submit works to the award but are not allowed to participate in judging.
Regarding the conditions for participating in the award, the additional conditions for receiving works participating in the award include works published, posted, broadcast for the first time, original, unedited, unedited, rebroadcast on newspapers and radio stations licensed by competent authorities to operate press activities from May 1, 2023 to December 5, 2023.
Add printed magazines and electronic magazines to the types of journalism participating in the award. At the same time, add journalism genres participating in the award including works belonging to 3 groups of genres: News; political commentary and artistic political commentary; some genres of multimedia journalism and data journalism. Specifically including: News, reflection articles, interviews, comments, essays, political commentary, reports, investigative reports, notes, press notes, exchanges, discussions, documentaries, press photos, data journalism, etc.
Amendment of regulations: Do not accept radio and television works recorded on DVD.
Along with that, the regulation for works in the form of electronic magazines must be the first published work, made specifically for electronic magazines, not a version of a printed magazine. Electronic magazine works must be printed on A4 paper, clearly stating the name of the magazine, the name of the author and the time of publication, with an image of the magazine interface, a link to the article, and confirmation from the managing unit (retyped works are not accepted).
The deadline for receiving entries is from June 9, 2023 (the date of the award launch) to December 5, 2023 according to the postmark. The expected award date is January 2024.
For the works, the number and value of prizes include: 1 Special Prize worth 150 million VND; 8 A Prizes, each worth 95 million VND; 15 B Prizes, each worth 45 million VND; 20 C Prizes, each worth 30 million VND; 40 Encouragement Prizes, each worth 10 million VND.
For the collective, the Organizing Committee will award "Excellent" prizes to 10 typical press agencies, each prize worth 20 million VND.
In addition, 2 awards will be given to press agencies whose works make a good impression as voted by the Judging Council (if any); each award is worth 20 million VND.
