Ha Tinh Electricity strengthens solutions to reduce power loss

In the first 10 months of 2023, the commercial electricity loss rate of Ha Tinh Power Company reached 6.38%, down 0.61% over the same period in 2022 and 0.41% lower than the annual plan assigned by the Northern Power Corporation.

With the goal of strengthening the grid and improving the reliability of power supply, since the beginning of the year, Ha Tinh Power Company has rotated over 168 overload-proof transformers; handled underload and phase reversal at over 1,376 transformer stations; periodically tested over 981 transformer stations, 80 Reclosers, 544 lightning arresters, 4,739 medium-voltage lines and 1,493 low-voltage lines, combined with handling defects on the grid.

The commercial electricity loss rate of Ha Tinh Electricity Company in the first 10 months of 2023 reached 6.38%.

In addition, the company has implemented 5S grid renovation at 194 transformer stations, over 215 km of high- and medium-voltage lines and over 194 km of low-voltage lines, contributing to ensuring stable power supply for customers as well as creating urban beauty.

In the past time, Ha Tinh Electricity Company also applied repairing and cleaning of live power lines (hotlines). In the first 10 months of 2023, the whole company repaired the hotline power grid 549 times (106% of the plan), and cleaned the porcelain 951 times (159% of the plan). At the same time, the company implemented many technical solutions and applied digital transformation software to manage the operation of the power grid. According to statistics, since the beginning of the year, the whole company has handled more than 10,682 defects on the power grid, thanks to which grid incidents have decreased sharply.

Accumulated in 10 months, the company's implementation was 6.38% (down 0.61% compared to the same period last year and 0.41% lower than the annual plan assigned by the Corporation).

Ha Tinh Electricity Company strictly controls power loss at transformer stations and medium voltage lines with sudden increases and decreases in loss between reading periods.

According to the plan, the company continues to control 110 kV grid incidents, effectively operate the capacitor compensation system at medium-voltage busbars of 110 kV transformer stations; pilot the control and replacement of medium- and low-voltage measurement systems at specialized transformer stations for medium-voltage lines with high power loss rates and large power consumption. Inspect, review and re-plan the low-voltage grid at public transformer stations with inappropriate grid connections; focus on balancing the phase of overloaded distribution transformers, operating out of phase, especially transformers with phase deviation of more than 25%.

The company also focuses on developing programs to control loss calculation data, and strengthen specialized inspections of power losses at affiliated units. Strictly control power losses at public transformer stations and medium-voltage lines with sudden increases and decreases in losses between reading periods. At the same time, regularly monitor losses at each voltage level on the CMIS3.0 program to have timely solutions; coordinate to speed up the progress of power grid construction projects in a smart, streamlined direction...
