Which universities can I get into with an SAT score of 1,200 in 2025?

(Dan Tri) - With an SAT score of 1,200, candidates can apply to most universities that accept SAT and enter directly into 2 universities.

According to the newly announced 2025 enrollment plan, the National Economics University will maintain the same SAT score requirement as in 2024, which is 1,200. However, the admission score to the school by this method last year was no lower than 1,300 in all majors.

Similarly, the SAT benchmark (combined with foreign language certificate) for admission to Hanoi University of Science and Technology is not lower than 1,250 in all majors, although the school does not specify the application requirements.

In addition, one thing to note for candidates planning to apply for admission to Hanoi University of Science and Technology using SAT certificate is that the average score of each year of grades 10, 11, and 12 must be 8.0 or higher.

The University of Economics - Vietnam National University, Hanoi accepts applications for admission using SAT certificates from 1,100 and above. However, the school's benchmark score using this method in 2024 is the lowest at 1,460 for Economics and the highest at 1,540 for Business Administration.

In 2024, Hanoi University of Industry will consider SAT certificates from 1,000 and above, combined with the transcript scores of 2 subjects in the admission combination. In which, SAT scores are converted to a 10-point scale and multiplied by a factor of 2.

The conversion rates are as follows: 1,000-1,100 is equivalent to 9 points; 1,101-1,200 is equivalent to 9.5 points; 1,201-1,600 is equivalent to 10 points.

Thus, with a high GPA of 8.5 to 9.0, a candidate with an SAT score of 1,200 will achieve an admission score of 27.5-28. This score is accepted into many "hot" majors of the school.

This year, the school has not announced the enrollment plan.

Candidates with SAT 1,200 are also eligible to apply to the University of Science - Vietnam National University, Hanoi . According to the 2024 benchmark, this SAT score can be admitted to a number of majors such as Physics, Materials Science, Nuclear Engineering Technology, Urban Development and Real Estate Management, etc.

Notably, according to the latest admission information of the University of Construction and the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture , these two schools directly admit candidates with SAT scores of 1,200 or higher.

If candidates want to apply to Foreign Trade University this year, the minimum SAT score required is 1,380 combined with a minimum IELTS score of 6.5.

Hanoi University of Pharmacy also has relatively high requirements for candidates applying for admission using SAT certificates. Accordingly, the required score to apply in 2024 is 1,300.
