Proposal to build a Saigon riverside park from Ba Son bridge to Thu Thiem bridge

Continuing the Saigon riverside park, Thu Duc City proposed to renovate and embellish the area across Ba Son bridge extending to Thu Thiem bridge to make a park.

The content is stated in the proposal of Thu Duc Technical Infrastructure Development Center sent to Thu Duc City People's Committee on the plan to renovate and operate the Saigon River bank park, from Ba Son Bridge to Thu Thiem Bridge, Thu Thiem Ward. The park is expected to be invested along the Saigon River bank, from Ba Son Bridge to Thu Thiem Bridge, with the name Creative/Innovation Park. The length along the river bank is more than 1.1km, the width is 100-120m. The area of this area is about 10ha. The current status of the area is natural vegetation, the terrain is uneven, gradually decreasing towards the Saigon River bank. Some low-lying areas are flooded, with many types of naturally growing plants, lots of weeds, trash and debris... The park, after completion, is expected to have some main items such as: event area, central park area, jogging/biking path connecting the entire riverside area, operator and utility building, parking lot...
Thu Duc City will renovate and beautify the area according to the current status, improve environmental sanitation. The expected completion time is before Tet At Ty 2025. The investment form is from socialized sources. The park will be maintained until the area is invested according to the plan. At the end of 2023, the Saigon River park from the Saigon River tunnel to Ba Son bridge (Thu Duc) will officially come into operation. The park has many items, of which the highlight is the sunflower field. The park is about 20 hectares wide, about 600m long with a total capital of about 90 billion VND, invested from socialized sources. In recent times, the park has become a venue for many major events in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting thousands of people and tourists to come and play every day.
