Candidate Minh Tien (Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, District 5) shared: "The test was quite easy, I predicted over 9 points. There was 1 high-level application question, the reading part was within reach if everyone read carefully and found the idea in the passage. Only the part of choosing the answer in the blank had 1 difficult question. High-level application was divided into 3-4 questions. After 2 days of testing, I felt happy, the burden was relieved, the weather was sunny and beautiful, I felt I had a good result."
Minh Anh (Gifted High School, Ho Chi Minh City National University) said the test was within her ability, with only 2 strange questions, she estimated that she would score over 8.5 points. "I think this year's test will be suitable for those who already have a foundation in English and can achieve a good score or higher. Hoang Thi Quynh Nhu commented that it was easy to get a score of 6-7 on the English test because the questions and types of questions were all in the review section. "To get a score of 8 or higher, you have to study well. If you don't read carefully and master the reading comprehension skills, it's easy to get the wrong answer," Nhu said.
Dang Cong Huan - a candidate who left early at this testing site - also said that the English test was within his ability and had differentiation. If you study hard and review vocabulary, grammar, and stress carefully, you will have enough points to graduate. "There were about 7-8 difficult questions about passive voice, conditional sentences... I couldn't do them so I gave up," Huan shared.
According to the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, in this year's high school graduation exam, 1,389 candidates were exempted from the foreign language exam, 300 more than in 2023.

Apart from the somewhat difficult fill-in-the-blank section, this year's test does not have a very high level of differentiation," Hoai Anh (Tran Bien High School, Bien Hoa City) said, confidently scoring more than 8 points.
Similarly, candidate Hoang Thanh assessed that the English exam was relatively easy compared to previous exams. "While Math is very difficult, English is easy to get high scores, even easy to get 8-9 points," Thanh commented.

Teachers' comments on English exam: Easy test but not easy to get 10 points
According to Mr. Le Minh Chau, Deputy Head of the English Department, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Ho Chi Minh City: "This year's English exam is easy and suitable for candidates. The topics are quite familiar, the reading part is also close and suitable for the GenZ generation.
With this test, candidates will easily get 8 points. However, to get 10 points is not easy. Because the test still has questions that differentiate candidates, mainly in the vocabulary section.
In short, with an exam like this year, most candidates will smile happily after doing the test," said Mr. Chau.
