This is the second year that the communication campaign has been assigned by the Ministry of Information and Communications to the Department of Information Security to take charge of implementation. Previously, in the 2023 campaign, 24 common forms of online fraud were informed to the public.

Continuing the results achieved in 2023, this year the campaign focuses on people's skills in identifying and preventing fraud.

One of the goals of the 2024 campaign is to promote mass communication, raise awareness and disseminate knowledge and skills on information security in general and online fraud in particular to people; provide skills to identify and respond to online fraud.

Thereby reducing the rate of online fraud victims. At the same time, building and expanding the Alliance to promote sustainable information security awareness.

In the recently approved plan, the Ministry requires that propaganda to raise awareness among people must be carried out seriously, effectively and in accordance with reality.

Besides, it is also necessary to innovate methods, improve the effectiveness of propaganda, and disseminate knowledge and skills about information security through communication campaigns.

In September and October, the Department of Information Security will coordinate with other units to strongly spread communication messages about preventing online fraud to specific groups of people.

In addition to cooperating with social networks to implement the campaign, the Department of Information Security plans to organize a KOLs award with instructional videos on online fraud prevention skills that are widely spread on social networks.

At the same time, the Ministry's cyber security agency also coordinates with social networking platforms to create activities to share information about online fraud and organize competitions to share experiences in avoiding fraud.

It is expected that the Ministry will summarize and evaluate the campaign in November.
