Heavy rains over the past few days have caused serious landslides on the road leading to Mui Trau Pass (Hoa Bac Commune). The rocks and soil that have spilled onto the road not only obstruct traffic but also pose a potential risk of accidents for people passing through this area.

Mr. Nguyen Truong, a local resident, shared: “There are many landslides on this route, and just a few more heavy rains will be very dangerous. Mud and soil have spread over half the road, making it very difficult for us to travel. Some landslides are littered with rocks and soil, and there are no warning signs, so driving downhill is very risky. Some sections are at risk of further landslides if the bad weather continues.”

In the La Nga Pass area, on both sides of the Hoa Lien water plant (Hoa Bac commune), after the floods, many more serious landslides have appeared. Many sections have been eroded, with rocks and soil sliding down into the stream.

Mr. Truong Thanh Nhan - Vice Chairman of Hoa Bac Commune People's Committee said: The commune is contracting with the construction unit to send vehicles to handle and fix landslides and rocks that have spilled onto the road near Mui Trau tunnel. In the La Nga pass area, the section passing through Hoa Lien water plant, the commune has also placed warning signs to remind and ensure safety for people and vehicles when traveling.
