Many remarkable results
Recognizing the important role of high-quality human resources, Son Duong district has included vocational training associated with job creation in its core action program. Closely following the Resolution of the 21st District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, the district leaders affirmed their determination: "Promoting the tradition of the revolutionary homeland, building a clean and strong Party and political system; exploiting and effectively using resources; building Son Duong district to develop rapidly and sustainably."
With this spirit, vocational training is promoted, not only helping to improve workers' skills but also creating conditions for them to confidently participate in the labor market and escape poverty sustainably.
Vocational training in Son Duong has achieved many positive results in recent years. Many workers after participating in training programs have had stable jobs at enterprises in and outside the province.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Tan, a resident of Khang Nhat Commune, is a typical example. After participating in a job fair organized by the locality, he was recruited to work at Phuc Sinh Leather Shoes Company Limited, Phuc Ung Industrial Park. This job brings him a stable income of over 6 million VND per month, helping to improve the quality of his family's life. He shared: "Phuc Ung Industrial Park opens up job opportunities for many rural workers like me. If everyone of working age has a job and a stable income, escaping poverty is inevitable."
Similarly, in the commune, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ba, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, said: "The commune has a total of 6,736 workers, of which 4,760 have been trained, 1,481 have certificates and degrees. The average income of workers is from 8-10 million VND/person/month. This is an important force contributing to the local socio-economic development."
These figures clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of vocational training associated with job creation in Son Duong, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
Challenges and limitations
Despite many positive results, vocational training in Son Duong still faces many difficulties. A report from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Tuyen Quang province said that local vocational training centers have not yet used capital from the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction to upgrade facilities and purchase equipment. This has caused many limitations in specialized vocational training and the supply of highly skilled workers.
In addition, coordination between agencies and units in implementing vocational training is not really synchronous. This affects the effectiveness of training programs, making it difficult for workers to access suitable job opportunities.
To address these limitations, Son Duong district has implemented many key solutions to innovate vocational training, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas, such as local Party committees and authorities, especially leaders, are assigned the task of regularly inspecting and supervising vocational training. Training quality and effectiveness are given top priority, with the participation of the entire political system.
The district is coordinating with provincial agencies to mobilize resources from national target programs (NTPs). Upgrading facilities and investing in modern equipment will create better conditions for students to teach and practice. Focus on building close links between vocational training centers and businesses. Training programs will be designed based on the actual needs of businesses, helping workers to work immediately after training without additional training.
Promoting propaganda and raising people's awareness of the importance of vocational training continues to be promoted, helping people better understand the value of vocational training. At the same time, tuition support and certificate programs will create more favorable conditions for workers to participate in training.
Son Duong district aims to have 100% of its communes meet new rural standards by 2025. To achieve this, vocational training not only helps improve the quality of human resources but also creates a driving force for comprehensive socio-economic development.
With the continuous efforts of leaders at all levels and the consensus of the people, Son Duong is gradually affirming its right direction. Vocational training is not only the solution to the current labor problem but also the foundation for building a Son Duong that develops quickly and sustainably in the future.
Vocational training associated with job creation in Son Duong is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of investing in people. With specific solutions and high determination, the district not only helps people escape poverty but also builds a civilized and comprehensively developed society.
