Party members of Hanoi Moi Newspaper hold a workshop on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle

(HNMO) - On the afternoon of May 12, the Party Cell of the Agriculture - Rural Areas Committee and the Culture - Social Affairs Committee of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper organized a thematic activity: "Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh on promoting the sense of exemplary responsibility, discipline and order of cadres and party members in performing public duties" at Mot Mai Pagoda, a small pagoda located in the Thay Pagoda relic complex (Sai Son commune, Quoc Oai district, Hanoi), where President Ho Chi Minh stopped in the early days of the resistance war against France.

Attending the thematic meeting were comrade Nguyen Minh Duc, Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper; Deputy Editors-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper Luong Chi Cong, Lai Ba Ha; Party Committee members; Party members of the two Party cells. Also attending were Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quoc Oai District Nguyen Truong Son; Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quoc Oai District Pham Quang Tuan.

At the thematic meeting, party members visited Uncle Ho's Memorial House (formerly the restored Ancestral House of Mot Mai Pagoda), which preserves many of Uncle Ho's memorabilia from the days he lived and worked here.

On the evening of February 3, 1947, Uncle Ho returned to Sai Son and stayed at Mot Mai Pagoda. He rested and worked in the room of the Ancestral House at the foot of the pagoda. From then until early March 1947, Mot Mai Pagoda became the command post for Uncle Ho to directly lead the resistance war. General Secretary Truong Chinh, Minister of National Defense, Commander-in-Chief Vo Nguyen Giap and many other comrades often came to Mot Mai Pagoda to report on the war situation and ask for Uncle Ho's direction. During his month at the pagoda, Uncle Ho and comrades in the Central Committee and the Government discussed and resolved many internal and defense issues here.

Also at the thematic meeting, comrade Nguyen Vu Han, Director of the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Quoc Oai district, informed the Party cells of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper about the socio-economic development, security and defense situation in Quoc Oai district; the results that the Party Committee, government and people of the district have achieved from studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, patriotic emulation movements...

In recent times, under the close guidance of Party committees and authorities at all levels, and the efforts of all cadres, party members, people and businesses, Quoc Oai district has promoted its heroic, united, dynamic and creative traditions, overcome difficulties and challenges and achieved quite comprehensive achievements, creating many outstanding marks.

In particular, Quoc Oai district was honored to be recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee as a "Special National Relic Tourist Destination of Thay Pagoda and the rocky mountain area of Sai Son, Phuong Cach, Hoang Xa". This is an opportunity and favorable condition for Quoc Oai to continue to preserve, propagate and promote precious traditional cultural and historical values to tourists from all over the world, at the same time, promote socio-economic development, build a rich and beautiful homeland...

This study topic aims to raise awareness among cadres and party members of Hanoi Moi Newspaper about the basic contents and great values of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, the importance of innovating content, improving the quality of Party cell activities and thematic activities in the entire Party Committee, thereby creating changes in the implementation of assigned political tasks.
