According to unofficial results updated by the Election Commission of Thailand in the early morning of May 15, with votes recorded from 47,929 out of 95,137 polling stations nationwide, the Move Forward Party is on track to win 151 out of 500 seats in the House of Representatives, with 115 seats selected by constituency and 36 seats selected by party list.

Meanwhile, the Pue Thai Party won 146 seats, with 115 MPs elected by constituency and 31 MPs elected by party list.

While the final results may change slightly, initial results show that both the Forward Party and Pheu Thai Party are on track to win the May 14 general election.

The Thai Pride Party (Bhumjaithai) of Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul temporarily came in third in the race with 69 lower house seats, including 65 constituency seats and four party-list seats.

Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan's Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) is on track to finish fourth, well ahead of the two leading opposition parties, with 34 seats - 32 from constituencies and two from party lists.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha's United Thai National Party (UTN) is in fifth place with 32 parliamentary seats - 19 constituency seats and 13 party-list seats.

The once-mighty Democrat Party continues to lose ground. Thailand’s oldest political party has only 23 seats in parliament – 20 constituency seats and three party-list seats.

The Chart Thai Pattana Party is on track to win 10 seats - nine constituency seats and one party-list seat. Another opposition party, the Prachachart Party, also won five constituency seats and one party-list seat in the House of Representatives.

If the two largest opposition parties, the Forward Party and the Pheu Thai Party, continue to hold their positions in the top positions, it will be impossible for a coalition of smaller, less popular political parties to win from them, unlike what happened in the 2019 election. In fact, these two parties only need the support of the Prachachart Party and a few neutral parties to gain an overwhelming majority in the House of Representatives.

The party has achieved its minimum target of winning more than 100 seats in the lower house and is moving towards its ultimate target of 160 seats in the lower house, said Pita, who stressed that the party's current focus is to form a majority coalition government.

Vote counting results are still being continuously updated after the Thai General Election ended at 5:00 p.m. on May 14 with more than 50 million voters casting ballots at more than 95,000 polling stations nationwide.
