On the afternoon of July 29, the Arts Department - Vietnam Television in collaboration with the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the Navy, and the Thang Long Song and Dance Theater launched the musical film Truong Sa - Ben bo trong nhau.

The film shows the love and pride of soldiers when assigned to protect the Fatherland's territorial waters, along with a touching story about the sacrifices of soldiers and their rear.
The film uses 8 familiar songs but with new arrangements and delicate arrangements, suitable for the thoughts, feelings and emotions of naval soldiers as well as women in the rear in each period.
Truong Sa - Ben bo trong nhau is the second musical film about Truong Sa by Meritorious Artist Khanh Hoa. Due to the special nature of the film, the crew assigned 3 veteran directors to work together: Main Director Phu Tran, Assistant Director Nguyen Sy Khoa and Director of Photography Trinh Minh Tuan.
Meritorious Artist Khanh Hoa shared: "Truong Sa is a great and profound love in my life. Although I cannot always come to Truong Sa, in my heart, the affection for Truong Sa always reigns and exists. Every time I come to Truong Sa, my emotions are further enriched and deepened, urging me to carry out this music film project...".
At the film premiere, Rear Admiral Pham Van Luyen - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Navy - said that the musical film Truong Sa - Ben bo trong nhau is a cultural product with profound humanistic values about love for the country, love for the sea and islands of the homeland.
"The film conveys to the audience a message about the tradition of patriotism, solidarity, and dedication of generations of fathers and brothers. Through the songs and images in the film, the audience will feel the sacredness and great responsibility for the sovereignty of the sea and islands in general and the Truong Sa archipelago in particular," said Rear Admiral Pham Van Luyen.
Journalist Tran Hong Ha - Deputy Head of the Arts Department, Vietnam Television - affirmed that this is the biggest music film project ever of the Arts Department.
Filming took place over a month with many scenes filmed in many different locations such as on land, in military zones, in bays, on the ocean and on many islands in the Truong Sa archipelago.
In particular, the Navy sent a force of about 1,000 people from many units to help the film crew complete the mission.
This unit supported the film crew with two helicopters from Brigade 954, two missile frigates Dinh Tien Hoang and Quang Trung, the ship Yet Kieu... and many military uniforms during the filming process.

In this musical film, for the first time, the audience saw the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra and singer Khanh Hoa perform the song "That's Truong Sa" on the Yet Kieu ship in Cam Ranh Bay, flanked by two missile frigates.
The film has touching images such as the Gac Ma memorial ceremony; the life of a modern navy soldier, young, optimistic but also full of responsibility; the train taking the wife to Truong Sa to visit her husband; father and son reunion.
In addition to Khanh Hoa, the film features the participation of many actors such as: People's Artist Manh Cuong, Meritorious Artist Minh Phuong, Tien Loc, Binh An, Huyen Thach... and navy soldiers. The film airs at 2:10 p.m. on August 4 on VTV1.
