Part of the UK Government’s GREAT Campaign, with over 60 different partners, the UK Festival promises to be a great time, a festival for everyone, celebrating the diverse collaborations between our two countries, as well as the richness of the UK’s culture and arts.
With a range of exciting activities, the Festival offers a unique opportunity to explore the UK’s contributions and deep connections with Vietnam.
Attendees will be able to visit the Festival’s education booths, where representatives from over 20 UK universities and organisations will showcase their top education programmes. Students and parents will also have the opportunity to explore the school’s scholarship programmes.
The Festival’s booths will also showcase UK commercial products in areas such as consumer goods, healthcare, financial services and more. Attendees will learn more about leading projects and technologies in renewable energy, demonstrating the commitment of both countries to a “greener, more sustainable” future.
In particular, within the framework of the Festival, the British Ambassador to Vietnam, Iain Frew, with the support of food blogger Phan Anh, will show off his skills in making traditional British scones with a recipe that is imbued with the autumn of Hanoi. This interesting collaboration not only shows the combination of flavors from both cultures but also more clearly depicts the cooperation between the two countries.

In the music and entertainment field, the UK Festival also brings extremely attractive performances. There, the audience will be fascinated by music nights by the legendary band 911 from the UK and attractive performances by famous Vietnamese singers such as My Anh and Orange, talented DJs Johnny Hong Mao and MinDaniel.
The performances are invested with the harmony of emotional melodies, promising to make the atmosphere more exciting. Another highlight of the Festival is the cultural night with a symphony orchestra and a fashion show, subtly expressing the creativity of Vietnam and the UK.
Speaking at a press conference to introduce the festival on September 6, Ambassador Iain Frew said: “This is an opportunity for us to bring the best of the UK, our culinary quintessence as well as our culture.” According to him, this festival is an occasion where “people can really connect with each other and an opportunity for Vietnamese people to access and understand more deeply about British culture.”
“The UK and Vietnam are closer than ever, with relations at an all-time high and with so much potential in the years ahead. The UK Festival in Vietnam is a bridge between our two countries, celebrating 50 years of friendly and long-standing partnership. Join us this weekend and experience the creative, dynamic and inspiring UK,” the Ambassador emphasized.

Representative of the legendary band 911, singer Jimmy Constable expressed his impression of the landscape, country and people of Vietnam, especially after the success of the song I, which he collaborated with singer Duc Phuc. "The collaboration between 911 and Duc Phuc last February was a connection in the relationship between the two countries in the fields of music and culture," he said.
It is known that after Hanoi, the UK Festival will come to Ho Chi Minh City on September 16 and to Da Nang on October 16. This is a great opportunity to deepen bilateral relations, enhance understanding and spark innovative dialogues in many different fields.
