Dak R'lap continues to reap important achievements

In 2024, Dak R'lap district continued to achieve many important results, contributing to the successful implementation of the development goals for the 2020-2025 period of the locality in particular and Dak Nong province in general.
In the context of many advantages and challenges, in 2024, with flexible and creative solutions, Dak R'lap district has strived to complete 42/42 component targets set out in the resolution. In particular, many economic targets of the district continue to have positive developments.

The scale of the local economy is increasingly large with even growth in all sectors. Technical infrastructure, traffic routes, and urban upgrading and beautification work are promoted by the district, contributing significantly to promoting economic development.

Resolution No. 17-NQ/HU, dated January 2, 2024 of Dak R'lap District Party Committee on implementing tasks in 2024 has set out 13 groups of targets with 42 component targets. As a result of implementation by the end of 2024, the district has achieved and exceeded 42/42 component targets, of which 12 targets exceeded and 30 targets met the resolution.
Total social investment capital in 2024 in the whole district reached 3,830 billion VND, reaching 101%, exceeding the resolution, up 9.4% compared to 2023. Budget revenue reached 640 billion VND, equal to 100%, no decrease compared to 2023. Budget expenditure reached 688, equal to 118%, up 23% compared to 2023.
Many agricultural models combined with experiential tourism are developing.
The district's industrial and construction sectors continue to develop well, contributing positively to the economic restructuring of the district. By the end of 2024, the value of the industrial sector will account for 23.1%, with a total production value of VND 1,165 billion. In particular, the main sectors are the mineral exploitation industry (aluminum exploitation of Dak Nong Aluminum Company - TKV; basalt mining, ...) and agricultural processing industries (processing cashew nuts, coffee, passion fruit, avocado, durian) creating products in the economic value chain, increasing competitiveness in the market.
The district's industry has initially exploited, utilized and promoted its potentials and advantages, in line with the trend of economic restructuring according to the set orientation.
The service - tourism industry continues to develop vigorously and diversely with many rich types (finance, banking, information and communication, transportation, warehousing, medical services, education, etc.). The proportion of the service - tourism industry in the whole district accounts for 32.4%, ranking second in the economic sector structure with a total production value of 1,370 billion VND.
Agricultural model combined with experiential tourism
Tourism activities have initially been formed and operated at a basic level on the basis of taking advantage of natural landscapes. Medium and small farmstays are invested and gradually exploited in a professional direction and have regional coordination in tourism development.
Besides, the indicators on agriculture, rural areas, health care, and education in 2024 also recorded many improvements.
The mining industry plays a key role
Agriculture is still the main economic sector of Dak R'lap district with a proportion of 44.5%, the highest in the economic structure of the district. In 2024, this sector will continue to receive the attention and leadership of the District Party Committee, and implementation will achieve many results, creating momentum for this main economic sector to make a breakthrough in the coming time.
One of the three breakthroughs proposed by the 9th District Party Congress is "solving the problem of developing high-tech agriculture according to the value chain for a number of key products in the area or developing new products based on comparative advantages according to market demand".
To achieve this goal, in 2024, the district's agricultural sector has developed rapidly, contributing increasingly to the scale of the economy with a total production value of 2,202 billion VND.
Coffee production in Dak R'lap is gradually entering deep processing, bringing high economic value.
Along with the prices of many key agricultural products continuously increasing, the scale and quality of the district's agricultural sector are gradually developing, which is the driving force for farmers to boldly invest in applying scientific and technical advances, applying technology, and increasing specialization in agricultural production. From here, the district's agriculture has increased productivity, product quality, and production efficiency on the same unit area.
Many concentrated livestock models are being invested in thoroughly, bringing high economic efficiency.
In 2024, the agricultural production area will continue to expand to 39,512 hectares, an increase of 1,045.5 hectares compared to 2023. Of which, the perennial crop area is 39,083.1 hectares, the rest is rice and vegetable area. The total livestock herd is 37,856 heads; poultry is 105,440 heads. In addition, the district currently has 124 birdhouses and 219.1 hectares of water surface for aquaculture.
To improve the production quality of the agricultural sector, Dak R'lap district has focused on promoting the application of science and technology in production processes; paying attention to disease prevention and control, replicating effective production models, especially high-tech agricultural models.
Education continues to receive investment and development attention from Dak R'lap district.
Currently, the district has 29 cooperatives and 12 cooperative groups, operating quite effectively. Cooperatives and cooperative groups have promoted the role of gathering farmers to produce agriculture in the direction of investing in technology, unifying the stages of seeds, care, preservation and processing. In 2024, the district will have 11 more products certified by OCOP, an increase of 175% compared to 2023.
Dak R'lap district also promotes agricultural development associated with implementing the criteria for building advanced new rural areas in the 2021 - 2025 period, with the goal of improving the material and spiritual life of rural people, shortening the gap between rural and urban areas.
Traditional culture is preserved and promoted
In 2024, the district had 5 communes meeting the NTM standards for the 2021-2025 period, an increase of 25% compared to 2023; 1 commune met the advanced NTM standards according to the criteria set for the 2021-2026 period. The average number of criteria per commune met 19 criteria, an increase of 18.8% compared to 2023.
The face of Kien Duc urban area is civilized and clean
The district is continuing to strive to complete the goal of becoming a new rural district in 2025 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Dak R'lap district (January 1, 1986 - January 1, 2026).
