In 2024, Dak R'lap agriculture and rural areas will continue to promote their position with many bright spots. The total agricultural production area of the district will reach over 38,700 hectares. The district's livestock and poultry will develop steadily with over 197,800 heads.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Luong, Deputy Head of the District's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said: In 2024, Dak R'lap's cultivation sector was very successful and grew steadily.
Key crops have grown steadily, productivity and product quality have been improved, bringing higher income to farmers, most notably durian, coffee and pepper.
The district has focused on instructing people to improve the quality of harvesting, post-harvest care, and connecting markets for agricultural products.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Suong, village 15, Dak Wer commune said that she has 3 hectares of coffee for harvest. This year, despite the drought, the yield is still quite good, over 3 tons/ha. With the current price, she has an income of 900 million VND.
According to the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the district has 4 more communes meeting the new rural criteria according to the criteria set for the period 2021 - 2025, and 1 more advanced new rural commune. The average number of new rural criteria achieved is 17.5/18 criteria/commune.
The district’s OCOP program continues to spread, contributing to promoting the rural economy. As of November, the district recognized 9 more OCOP products, exceeding the target of 7 products.
In total, Dak R'lap has 21 products achieving 3 and 4 star OCOP. OCOP products are diverse such as coffee, pepper, macadamia, wine, passion fruit...
In 2024, Dak R'lap had positive changes in environmental protection. 100% of urban waste was collected by the district. The district has completed site clearance to serve the construction of a centralized waste treatment plant.
Mr. Pham Van Hau, Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Dak R'lap district, said that clearing the land for the construction of a waste treatment plant demonstrated the determination of the government and the support of the people. From here, the district gradually achieved environmental standards and regulations.
The district continues to closely follow the work to accelerate new tasks, and soon put the waste treatment plant into operation. This is the basis for successfully building the criteria for a new rural district and building urban areas in the future.
Dak R'lap district continues to upgrade and renovate its urban and transport infrastructure. For district roads, the upgrading and renovation reached 75.4% of the resolution; upgrading and renovation of commune roads in the entire district exceeded the resolution by 3%.
The rate of water supply for irrigation areas reached 100% of the resolution. The rate of rural households using hygienic water reached 100%. The rate of households using safe electricity reached nearly 100% of the target.
The labor and employment sector of Dak R'lap district in 2024 has many improvements, creating more opportunities to increase income and employment for people. The number of workers with jobs is 3,015 people, reaching 107.7% compared to the resolution, an increase of 49% over the same period in 2023.
The rate of working-age workers participating in social insurance in the whole district is estimated at 15.7/17.9%, equal to 88% compared to the resolution, an increase of 23% over the same period in 2023.
The rate of people participating in universal health insurance is estimated at over 90%, reaching 97% compared to the resolution, an increase of 12.3% over the same period in 2023.
Focus on accelerating to the finish line
In the last months of 2024, the District Party Committee and People's Committee are focusing on leadership and direction, striving to achieve the highest level of the set targets.
According to Standing Deputy Secretary of Dak R'lap District Party Committee Do Thanh Cat, the district maintains, consolidates and improves the quality of indicators and criteria for new rural construction in a comprehensive and sustainable direction.
In which, the district mobilizes resources, accelerates the progress of new rural construction associated with implementing socio-economic development solutions.
Dak R'lap focuses on solutions to promote disbursement of public investment capital plans, capital for 3 national target programs, solutions to collect state budget...
Local authorities and sectors review the remaining workload in 2024 for synchronous and effective implementation. In particular, the district proposes solutions to accelerate the disbursement of investment capital plans for works and projects.
Dak R'lap has well implemented the "5 determinations" and "5 guarantees" in organizing and implementing the disbursement of investment capital plans, in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister of the province; ensuring clear identification of people, work, responsibilities and focus.
The district's political system has promoted propaganda and dissemination to raise people's awareness of the important role and significance of site clearance for important and key socio-economic development projects and works.
Thereby, the district creates high consensus among the people; contributing to speeding up the progress of site clearance to serve local socio-economic development projects and works.
The district continues to promote the implementation of solutions to increase budget revenue, especially exploiting revenue sources from land use, fees and taxes.
In agricultural production, the district deploys specialized sectors to closely follow the plan and implement solutions to prevent and control diseases for crops and livestock.
The district continues to guide people to develop products to serve the year-end market, helping to increase income and contribute to overall development.
Dak R'lap strengthens leadership and direction of communes, towns, agencies and units to well perform national defense and security tasks in 2024, prevent and fight against all types of crimes, social evils, patrol and control traffic order and safety.
In the first 10 months of 2024, the socio-economic, defense and security of Dak R'lap district have shown positive signs. The district's economy has grown quite well with total social investment capital reaching 2,926/3,800 billion VND, reaching 77% compared to the resolution of the District Party Committee, up 15% over the same period in 2023.
