(Dan Tri) - At the program "Historical Path", General Phan Van Giang awarded the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam People's Army Badge to village elder Ksor H'Lam for her contributions to keeping the village peaceful.
On the evening of December 21, the Ministry of National Defense coordinated with Vietnam Television to organize an art and political program called Historical Path to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024); 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

For nearly 2 hours, the program was elaborately and grandly staged on the large stage of the Vietnam Military History Museum, combining short reports, animations, talks, music and dance performances and 3D mapping projections, thereby depicting the 80-year journey of building, fighting and growing of the heroic Vietnam People's Army.
It is a journey not only of blood and tears, but also of faith and sacrifice for a peaceful, unified and developed Vietnam.

Village elder Ksor H'Lam from Krong village, Ia Mor commune, Chu Prong district, Gia Lai province went to Hanoi to attend the Historical Road program.
Mrs. Ksor H'Lam is the first female village elder in the border area, turning 80 this year. She said, "People say that whoever has prestige, ability to do things and understands the villagers will be elected."
The female village elder also shared the secret to keeping the village peaceful is "to disseminate information about security and order to the people, and to report any strange visitors to the border guards and authorities."
Attending the event, the village elder brought a basket containing potatoes, cassava, corn, brocade fabric... She said: "The villagers want to give the soldiers the hearts of the people."

With the participation of nearly 3,000 professional actors and soldiers representing the Navy, Army, Air Force, Special Forces, Border Guard, along with a large amount of weapons, equipment, props... the program is a special occasion for people across the country to proudly look back on the glorious journey of an army born from the people, fighting for the people.
The musical is an artistic highlight of the program. The character of the baby Hong, based on the character in the memoir From the People by General Vo Nguyen Giap, was chosen as the artistic image throughout.

The scene "The Country is not yet full of joy" brought many emotions to the viewers. In the joyful atmosphere of the victory day, there were sons and fathers who never had the chance to return home to reunite with their families. But their sacrifice made the victory of the whole nation.
In addition, true stories about the wedding in the De Castries bunker of the female military doctor Nguyen Thi Ngoc Toan and the Deputy Commander of the Vanguard Army Cao Van Khanh; letters to those who stayed behind, the heroic sacrifices of soldiers on duty to rescue people during storms and floods... were used as creative inspiration, fully expressing the beautiful and proud image of Uncle Ho's soldiers.

The elaborately staged musical and artistic performances recreated the Historical Roads - symbols of blood, flowers and the will to win, contributing to affirming the heroic historical value and the path forward to building the country in the new era.
