Vietnamese oyster products have been exported to more than 10 countries around the world, of which Taiwan (China) is the key consumer market.
According to the Association of Processing and Seafood export Vietnam, after a breakthrough growth in 2023, Vietnam's oyster exports continued to flourish in the first 5 months of 2024. In May 2024 alone, the export value of this product group increased by 52%. In the first 5 months of 2024, Vietnam's oyster export value reached nearly 7 million USD, an increase of 31% over the same period in 2023.

Vietnam mainly exports fresh, chilled oysters to more than 10 countries around the world, most of which are in Asia.
Taiwan (China) is the key consumer market for Vietnamese oysters, accounting for 82% in the first 5 months of this year. In addition to Taiwan (China), Vietnam is strongly increasing oyster exports to Laos. In the first 5 months of this year, oyster exports to Laos increased 3 times compared to the same period in 2023, reaching more than 713 thousand USD.
In addition to oysters, Vietnam's exports of molluscs such as scallops and snails have also seen significant growth in some markets. The export value of these two groups of products in the first five months of this year increased by 42% and 18% respectively over the same period.
