The 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Kien Giang province will take place from August 22-23.

Mr. Ngo Phuong Vu - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province spoke at the press conference.

According to Mr. Ngo Phuong Vu, the Congress will be held from August 22-23 at the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee Hall with the participation of 385 delegates (including 268 official delegates and 117 invited delegates).

“The theme of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024-2029 is: Promoting the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, implementing democracy, strengthening social consensus, arousing the aspiration to build a rich and civilized homeland of Kien Giang”, Mr. Ngo Phuong Vu informed.

According to Mr. Ngo Phuong Vu, the drafting of documents and personnel work to participate in the new term of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee were carried out by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in accordance with instructions and procedures.

The draft documents of the 11th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress and the draft amendments to the Charter of the 9th Vietnam Fatherland Front were sent to the grassroots for comments; sent to the members of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and a conference was held to directly contribute comments to the draft documents. The result was over 3,600 comments (of which 3,000 comments were for the draft documents of the Provincial Fatherland Front Congress; 618 comments were for the draft amendments to the charter).

Personnel work received special attention. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has properly implemented the steps of personnel preparation procedures, developed a new personnel plan, reported to the Steering Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and received consensus from the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The process of selecting and introducing new personnel ensures sufficient quantity, structure, and composition, focusing on representativeness and typicality, clearly demonstrating the expansion of the great national solidarity bloc.

In addition, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province has also developed a propaganda plan before, during and after the Congress. Especially before, during and after the Congress, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province hung banners and pennants along the main roads in Rach Gia city to promote the congress.

“Through propaganda work, the Congress will truly be a broad and democratic political activity aimed at strongly changing the awareness, responsibility and actions of the entire political system and all classes of people in implementing the Party's strategic guidelines on strengthening and promoting the strength of great national unity; on the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new period”, Mr. Ngo Phuong Vu - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province emphasized.
