The festival has truly become an activity of profound political and cultural significance; an opportunity to introduce, honor and promote the unique and distinctive traditional cultural values of ethnic groups in 9 mountainous districts of Quang Nam province to the whole country and international friends.
This event contributes to promoting the cultural and artistic movement, physical training and sports, preserving traditional cultural identity, consolidating the strength of the great national unity bloc, and at the same time creating momentum to promote tourism development, socio-economic development of mountainous localities in particular and Quang Nam province in general.

"This is also an opportunity for localities to promote and introduce destinations, tourism products, traditional dishes, folk games, etc., contributing to promoting tourism development in mountainous districts and the province; an opportunity to discover and nurture artisans, actors, and athletes in the fields of culture, arts, and sports, and prepare forces to participate in festivals, competitions, and regional and national competitions," Mr. Ho Quang Buu emphasized.
With the theme "Colors of Quang Nam Mountainous Culture", the festival is held from August 15 to August 21, with a series of unique and rich activities imbued with the cultural identity of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas of Quang Nam province.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Quang Trung - Chairman of Phuoc Son district - said that this is an opportunity for the Bhnoong people in particular and the people in Phuoc Son district in general to exchange and share typical cultural values, achievements in labor and production; compete, demonstrate skills, techniques of mass sports and professional expertise.
"Phuoc Son people always want to exchange and learn experiences and skills from other ethnic groups in the province to enrich their cultural identity, so that culture can become an endogenous strength to promote socio-economic development, and build a prosperous Phuoc Son in the future," said Mr. Le Quang Trung.
