The exhibition has the participation of 21 provinces and cities, introducing the values of cultural and natural heritage, famous landscapes, historical relics, and popular destinations for tourists from all over the country. In addition, it also depicts the unique traditional beauty in community activities; promotes the potential and tourism products, arts, cuisine, and local products...
During the event, Dien Bien people and tourists enjoyed 300 beautiful photos taken by photographers about UNESCO-recognized heritages, famous landscapes and typical cultural life of regions across the country; learned about traditional costumes of Vietnamese ethnic groups in daily life, festivals, rituals...
From the Central Highlands, artisans from Gia Lai province went to the Northwest - Dien Bien. This was also the farthest trip to exchange and promote ethnic culture of most Gia Lai artisans, including Mr. Ra Cham Klunh, Chu Pah district. After the performance, his forehead was covered in sweat, Mr. Klunh still smiled brightly and enthusiastically shared: "Dien Bien is so far away, we traveled for 2 days and 1 night, but when we arrived here, the locals and tourists were interested in learning and supporting the performances, I felt very happy and no longer tired. I and other artisans brought the Central Highlands gong culture, typical costumes and the traditional buffalo stabbing festival (one of the big festivals of the village to thank the gods and pray for a prosperous and healthy new year) of the Jrai people to introduce".
In addition to participating in the general exchange, Mr. Ra Cham Klunh and the Gia Lai province's art troupe also performed a separate art program called "The echoes of the Central Highlands in the heart of Dien Bien". Here, visitors can immerse themselves in the dances, the rhythms of a myriad of tones, in the unique gong culture of the Central Highlands mountains and forests - a cultural form recognized by UNESCO as a masterpiece of intangible cultural heritage and oral tradition of humanity.
At the exhibition, there are also many spaces introducing cultural heritages and tourist destinations of provinces and cities. Each place has its own color, arranged and decorated according to local characteristics. The experience space of Thua Thien Hue province attracts many visitors to visit and experience lanterns, conical hats, and enjoy tea with royal colors. Mr. Duong Dinh Hau, delegation of Thua Thien Hue province shared: "We bring Hue features to this exhibition through images of cultural heritages, simulations of Hue royal gates and ancient costumes. In addition, there are also typical products and products associated with Hue such as: Non bai tho, conical lotus leaves and products made from lotus..."
Another space that received much praise and admiration from visitors was the light sculpture exhibition and performance area. Through the hands and creativity of artisan Bui Van Tu, traditional Vietnamese handicrafts were combined with light to create unique works. Here, visitors can admire 3 outstanding works associated with the image of Uncle Ho, General Vo Nguyen Giap, Dien Bien Victory Monument, named: Pride of Vietnam; Dien Bien Phu Victory; and Dien Bien Soldier.
Artisan Bui Van Tu, Dai Viet Light Sculpture Joint Stock Company, shared: “Coming to today’s exhibition, through the art of light sculpture, I “tell” about a victory that “resounded throughout the five continents, shook the world”, the consensus of the entire nation, the wise direction of General Vo Nguyen Giap... Through that, I hope to spread national pride and spirit, on this special occasion towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory”.
Joining her son in the exhibition space, Ms. Phan Nhung (Dien Bien Phu City) shared: “Each province has its own attractive and impressive beauty. My son really likes the music from the rocks of Khanh Hoa province, the culture of the Central Highlands of Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces. I especially like the light sculptures, the traditional cakes from An Giang palm. I hope there will be more programs like this so that Dien Bien people can see, enjoy and “travel” on the spot.
Along with the experience and sightseeing spaces, the Exhibition "Traveling through Vietnam's cultural heritage and scenic spots" also featured many exchange programs and art performances to promote and introduce the beauty of regions and ethnic groups, such as: Central Highlands gongs, Bai Choi singing, Trong Quan singing, Cheo, Thai xoe... With these activities, the Exhibition treated visitors to a sumptuous and memorable "feast" of cultural heritage.
