With the theme "Ensuring social security, empowering and creating opportunities for women and girls to achieve gender equality and eliminate gender-based violence", the 2023 Action Month takes place from November 15 to December 15 with many practical activities, highlighting and creating a communication campaign for gender equality and prevention and response to gender-based violence.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, requested that departments, branches and localities in the city step up the enforcement of laws on gender equality, prevention of domestic violence, prevention of child abuse; implement policies to ensure social security, increase power and create opportunities for women and girls in all areas of social life. At the same time, promote communication, education and advocacy to change awareness and behavior in each person, especially men; strengthen inspection, detection and strict handling of acts and violations in the field of prevention and control of domestic violence, violence against women and children.
The month of action with many practical activities is the highlight, creating a communication campaign for gender equality and prevention and response to gender-based violence.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee also called for the attention and active participation of agencies, unions, authorities at all levels, social organizations, international organizations, and communities in the city to promote activities to support victims of abuse and violence against women and children in difficult circumstances, and make efforts to act for the goal of gender equality, towards building a progressive and equal society.
