15 people arrested in the case at the Central Institute of Forensic Psychiatry in Bien Hoa

On June 27, the Ministry of Public Security announced that in connection with the bribery, bribery receiving, and bribery brokerage case that occurred at the Bien Hoa Central Institute of Forensic Psychiatry (Dong Nai), the Department of Police Investigation of Social Order Crimes and other professional units arrested 15 suspects.

Among them, some are leaders and officers of the Central Institute of Forensic Psychiatry in Bien Hoa.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, the suspects had committed acts of bribery, bribery acceptance, and bribery brokerage to create false psychiatric medical records and psychiatric assessment conclusions for criminals, and were sentenced to prison.

This behavior is aimed at dealing with authorities, affecting the work of ensuring security and order.

In response to the achievements in fighting and destroying this case, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, sent a letter of commendation to the Department of Police Investigation of Crimes on Social Order.

The Minister of Public Security assessed this as an outstanding achievement, gradually resolving the current sensitive and pressing issue.

The project contributes to preventing and clarifying the nature of crimes, handling the right people for the right crimes, not wrongfully convicting or letting criminals escape.

At the same time, reduce the number of cases, incidents of temporary suspension, suspension of investigation, and delay in execution of prison sentences related to psychiatric assessment work in the coming time.

"Resolutely handle with the motto of no forbidden areas, no exceptions, creating transparency. Clarify loopholes and shortcomings in the work of establishing psychiatric medical records and psychiatric assessment conclusions to advise the Government to direct corrective and remedial solutions.

Thereby contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in the field of psychiatric assessment," the letter of commendation emphasized.
