On April 4, the Music Exchange program to summarize the first phase of the campaign to compose songs with the theme "The Country is Full of Joy" was held at the headquarters of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper with the participation of many artists and guest delegates.
The songwriting campaign "The Country is Full of Joy" was launched by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper from September 28, 2023, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). Mr. Bui Thanh Liem - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee (OC) of the campaign - said that so far, the Organizing Committee has received 23 songs from 18 authors. In addition, the Organizing Committee also received 6 songs responding to the campaign from 6 musicians: Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Nguyen Van Hien, Hoai An, Quynh Hop, Thai Hiep and Mai Tram.
According to the Organizing Committee, the Music Exchange program summarizes the first phase of the song composition campaign with the theme "The Country is Full of Joy" to create a bridge to exchange with famous musicians and singers. Thereby, inviting musicians from all over the country to enthusiastically send their works to participate in the campaign.
Participating in the Music Exchange program to summarize the first phase of the song composition campaign, in addition to the Organizing Committee, there were many guests, including: Mr. Truong Hoa Binh - former member of the Politburo, former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Honorary Chairman of the program "Proud of the National Flag"; Mr. Nguyen Tan Phong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association; People's Artist Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture - Sports of Ho Chi Minh City; Major General, Associate Professor, Doctor, People's Physician Nguyen Hong Son - former Director of Military Hospital 175; Ms. Ho Thi Thuy, Head of the Department of Propaganda and Social Opinion Research - Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Many famous artists also participated in the program, such as: musician Pham Minh Tuan, People's Artist Tra Giang, singer Cam Van (winner of the Mai Vang Award in 1995-1996), musician Dinh Tham (Da Nang City Music Association), musician Nguyen Van Hien, musician Nguyen Duc Trung, musician Nguyen Ngoc Thien, musician Thai Hiep, musician Quynh Hop, musician Tran Xuan Tien, musician Mai Tram, People's Artist The Hien, musician Tien Luan, singer Dam Vinh Hung, singer Cam Ly, singer Van Khanh, singer The Vy, singer Dong Quan, MC Vu Manh Cuong... The program also had the online participation of many other musicians.
The Organizing Committee of the song composition campaign "A Country Full of Joy" said that it will continue to carry out other exchange programs in the coming time, to promote this campaign more effectively, towards the country's important holiday in 2025.
The Organizing Committee will continue to introduce and promote outstanding songs. In particular, at the 30th Mai Vang Awards ceremony, the Organizing Committee will stage the 3 best works of the campaign, and at the same time aim to print a collection of 50 songs for the final round.

After more than 6 months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received enthusiastic responses from many musicians across the country. The compositions submitted to participate show the deep feelings of the musicians for the campaign.

The songwriting campaign "The Country is Full of Joy" is organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The Organizing Committee will select the 20 best works for the final round. The final round will take place in February 2025.
During the time of receiving works and preliminary screening, the Organizing Committee will select good songs to stage and introduce at the 30th Mai Vang Awards ceremony. At the same time, the Organizing Committee will also post the works on the newspaper's social networking platforms to introduce to the public.
Each author can submit up to 3 works. The submitted works must have music and Vietnamese lyrics, along with a CD of the recorded song or MP3, MP4 file. The submitted works must be new songs, unpublished in any form, and free of copyright disputes. The Organizing Committee will not consider and award prizes for works that copy or imitate the ideas, melodies, and lyrics of other authors at home and abroad.
The award ceremony will take place in April 2025. The award structure includes: 1 first prize (100 million VND), 1 second prize (50 million VND), 2 third prizes (30 million VND/prize), 3 consolation prizes (10 million VND/prize).
