Actress and MC Oc Thanh Van has just become a guest on the program Vietnamese Family Home . This is a rare time she reappears on television after announcing a temporary hiatus from the arts in early 2023.
Sharing at the show, the actress said that she did not participate in TV shows because she no longer loved them. During this period, she wanted to spend more time with and grow up with her children. Oc Thanh Van said that her life has changed almost completely compared to before.
“Currently, I live like a normal person. I start my day very early with yoga classes both in person and online. The rest of the time, I take my children to and from school. I participate in all their school activities and do not miss a single moment of their time.
I also have a business and it is really much more difficult to maintain the company's operations now than in previous years, so I have to make a lot of effort," she said.
Thanh Van Oc rarely returns to television after a period of artistic hiatus.
The actress confided that her life is now very simple, without the need to wear makeup, wear nice clothes, or appear neat every day. Although this is a big change, Oc Thanh Van feels that this is suitable for her current personality.
For Oc Thanh Van, daily joy is very small, simple and truly peaceful. She believes that one way or another, the destination of human life is to find joy, to find the person inside oneself and she herself has done that.
Moreover, Oc Thanh Van feels happy because even though she has left the stage, she is still remembered by the audience, and is often called by name and asked about. She calls it the luck and blessing that an artist has after many years of working.
Thanh Van changed direction to become a yoga instructor.
Oc Thanh Van revealed that she occasionally participates in a few film projects. As for the stage, the actress has not had the opportunity to return for a long time, and the field of long-running television dramas is even more difficult. However, the actress affirmed that if given the opportunity, she would be willing to return to the stage and film.
She confided: “For me, doing art work at this time is not for the purpose of becoming famous or earning more money, but because I want to repay my ancestors. This job has given me everything. Even more than I expected during my entire youth and adolescence.”
The actress spends time taking care of her small family.
With over 15 years of artistic activities, Oc Thanh Van has had many impressive roles. She is proud to have performed the roles she wanted and does not want to wait for another role. The actress is satisfied with her current simple, peaceful life.
Oc Thanh Van is also happy because from her artistic activities to her current job, her family has always supported her. She affirmed that if she did something without the support of her family, she would not be able to pursue it to the end.
“For me, being able to breathe, practice, meditate, pick up and drop off my children, meet students, and live a peaceful life is already a happiness. If I have the chance, I will wholeheartedly accept any roles.
That's my personality, when I do something I will be dedicated and give it my all, never regretting it but if it doesn't come, I won't regret it either," she confided.
