Previously, on October 30, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong presented the decision to appoint People's Artist Xuan Bac - Director of Vietnam Drama Theater as Director of the Department of Performing Arts.

Artist Xuan Bac was born in 1976 in Phu Tho. He graduated from Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema. The male artist started his acting career in 1995 and participated in many films such as: Dong Loc Intersection, Moc's House Story, Rustling Countryside...

In 2000, when he appeared in the movie Song o day song as Nui, Xuan Bac was widely recognized by the public and experts. From then on, Xuan Bac's name suddenly became a top star on the small screen in the North.

In addition to his role as an actor, Xuan Bac is also one of the famous and beloved comedians in the Tao Quan programs. Besides his acting career, Xuan Bac is also the MC of a number of programs such as Catching Words, Vietnamese King, Oh My God, You're Here...

Xuan Bac's greatest contribution to the country's art is on the drama stage. Xuan Bac was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 2016 and People's Artist in 2023.

In September 2016, Xuan Bac was appointed Deputy Director of the Vietnam Drama Theater. In January 2021, he was appointed Director of the Vietnam Drama Theater.

People's Artist Xuan Bac actively participates in mass activities. He was awarded the Outstanding Young Face of the Capital in 2009. In November 2010, Xuan Bac was chosen as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for clean water and environmental sanitation.

Since August 1, 2018, Xuan Bac has been a member of the Central Council of the 8th term of the Young Pioneers according to Decision No. 287 - QD/TWĐTN-CTTN of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

In December 2019, Xuan Bac was elected Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union, term VIII. In August 2024, People's Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac was elected Honorary President of the Hanoi Young Artists Association.
