Phu Tho Power Company practices handling situations of natural disaster prevention, control and search and rescue

On April 10, in Phu Ninh district, Phu Tho Power Company organized a drill to handle natural disaster prevention and search and rescue situations, and handle safety incidents at the company level in 2024. The Command Board for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Phu Tho Power Company deployed the drill content including 4 topics with 5 real-life situations at the scene and two hypothetical situations related to the work of the units. All hypothetical situations closely followed the reality that occurred in the localities during the rainy and stormy season, such as: Storms causing broken fiber optic cables, loss of SCADA signals, damage to meter boxes, damage to transformers, cleaning 22kV live lines with high pressure water, first aid for workers in accidents, etc.

According to the assessment, the exercise achieved its objectives and requirements, ensuring absolute safety for people and equipment. In particular, the level of organization and command of the company's leaders and the coordination of actions between the affiliated power units were smooth and consistent with each situation. The practice process handled situations quickly, correctly, and according to techniques and procedures.

The exercise has contributed to improving the ability to organize and implement natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue, and timely response to all natural disaster situations such as floods and storms, ensuring safe and stable power supply, and shortening power outage time. At the same time, it has raised awareness among officers and employees in incident identification, minimizing damage caused by natural disasters to the power grid, and ensuring safe and stable power supply.
