On March 7, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) organized the announcement of the Prime Minister's Decision on the transfer and appointment of Deputy Ministers of MOET and announced the Decisions on the transfer, appointment and reappointment of leaders of units of the MOET.

Attending the announcement ceremony were Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son; Deputy Ministers of Education and Training: Pham Ngoc Thuong, Nguyen Van Phuc, Hoang Minh Son, Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, Le Tan Dung; Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan; leaders of Departments, Bureaus, and units of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 395 dated February 25, 2025 to transfer and appoint Mr. Le Tan Dung, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training. The above decision takes effect from March 1, 2025.

On March 3, 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision No. 543 on the assignment of tasks of the Minister and Deputy Ministers.

Accordingly, Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung is assigned to be in charge of the following areas: Planning - finance, public investment; school facilities and equipment; socialization of education; sectoral and local planning; flood and storm prevention, natural disasters and climate change; digital transformation, application of information technology in assigned areas.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Nguyen Kim Son congratulated and welcomed the new Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung to take up his duties at the Ministry of Education and Training and hoped that with his new job and new position, Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung will continue to accompany and contribute to the development of education and training.

Minister Nguyen Kim Son presented the Decision and flowers to congratulate the officials who were transferred, received, and appointed to the positions of department head, bureau head, and unit manager.

The Minister expressed his gratitude to the former leaders of some units who were transferred to work. Along with the recognition of their contributions and efforts during their time working at the Ministry of Education and Training, the Minister wished the former leaders of the transferred units to continue to have much joy and success in their new units and new jobs.

Minister Nguyen Kim Son shared about the extremely important, heavy, and honorable tasks and missions of education and training in the current period and in the development of the country.

Accordingly, from March 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training will receive a very important additional area of ​​work, which is vocational education. At the same time, the education sector will also begin implementing the Education Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045; begin implementing two major plans: the Plan for the network of higher education and pedagogical institutions for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, and the Plan for the system of specialized educational institutions for people with disabilities and the system of centers supporting the development of inclusive education for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. This is also the time to arrange and restructure the entire education system...
