On the afternoon of July 3, the Ministry of Health held a ceremony to announce the Prime Minister's Decision to appoint Dr. Nguyen Tri Thuc - Director of Cho Ray Hospital, National Assembly Delegate to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Health.

Previously, on June 29, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 579 appointing Dr. Nguyen Tri Thuc - Director of Cho Ray Hospital to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Health. The term of appointment is 5 years. The Decision takes effect from the date of signing June 29, 2024.

On behalf of the Prime Minister, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan presented the appointment decision to new Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Tri Thuc.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Health and all officials, civil servants and public employees of the health sector, congratulated the new Deputy Minister Nguyen Tri Thuc on being recommended by the Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Health, and key officials of the Ministry of Health, and being trusted and appointed by the Secretariat and the Prime Minister to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Health.

Minister Dao Hong Lan also informed that on July 2, the Party Central Committee issued document No. 1345 appointing Mr. Nguyen Tri Thuc to join the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health.

According to Minister Dao Hong Lan, the health sector is broad and has a lot of work. After the Covid-19 pandemic, in addition to professional tasks, there are many post-Covid-19 tasks that need to be solved. Focus on building a policy system and long-term development orientation for the sector.

The new Deputy Minister Nguyen Tri Thuc has a long history of growing up and working in the medical industry. During nearly 25 years of working, working, and dedicating himself, Mr. Nguyen Tri Thuc has made many contributions to the work of protecting, caring for, and improving people's health.

Minister Dao Hong Lan hopes that with his experience in scientific research, medical examination and treatment..., taking on the new task of focusing on State management, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tri Thuc will promote his experience, unite, and share with the Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Health in the process of leading, directing, operating and implementing the Ministry's tasks in the coming time to achieve more results.

Speaking at the ceremony, the new Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Tri Thuc expressed his honor to receive the new assignment, and at the same time accepted the responsibility to continue to continuously learn, practice, improve knowledge, join hands, unite, and unite with the Party Executive Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Health and the leaders, officers, and employees of the entire health sector to contribute to the completion of the tasks assigned to the health sector by the Party, the State, and the people.

Up to this point, the Ministry of Health's leadership includes Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan and 5 Deputy Ministers: Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen, Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, Deputy Minister Le Duc Luan and Deputy Minister Nguyen Tri Thuc.

New Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Tri Thuc (born September 16, 1973), hometown: Cat Tan Commune, Phu Cat District, Binh Dinh Province. Political theory level: Senior. Professional level: Doctor of Internal Medicine; Specialist II; Bachelor of English.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Tri Thuc was Secretary of the Youth Union of Cho Ray Hospital (2006-2014); held the positions of Deputy Director of the Cardiovascular Center; Head of the Department of Arrhythmia Treatment; Deputy Head of the Organization and Personnel Department; Deputy Director of Cho Ray Hospital and was appointed to the position of Director of Cho Ray Hospital (Ministry of Health) from November 1, 2019;

From April 5, 2024, Director of Cho Ray Hospital Nguyen Tri Thuc has the additional task of Head of the Association for Organ and Tissue Donation of Vietnamese People in the Southern region.

Dr. Nguyen Tri Thuc is Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health; Member of the 15th National Assembly (National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City) .
