At the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Hoang Dang Quang announced the Politburo's Decision on the transfer and appointment of alternate member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc Nguyen Long Hai to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.
Quang Tri Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai, born in 1976, from Dong Luan Commune, Thanh Thuy District, Phu Tho Province; PhD in Law, Senior Political Theory. Before being assigned to the new position, Mr. Nguyen Long Hai was Secretary of the Central Enterprises Party Committee.
During his working career, Quang Tri Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai has held many important leadership positions in the Youth Union and local government: Deputy Chief of Office, Chief of Office of the Central Youth Union; Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Youth Union Inspection Committee; Permanent Deputy Chairman, General Secretary of the National Committee on Vietnamese Youth; Chairman of the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province; Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Kan province.

In his speech assigning tasks, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung congratulated Mr. Nguyen Long Hai on being entrusted with the new responsibility by the Politburo. Speaking at the ceremony, the new Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Long Hai thanked the Politburo, General Secretary To Lam and key leaders for their attention and trust in assigning him the important responsibility of being the head of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee. This is an honor and at the same time a very important responsibility in the face of the very high requirements for the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system, developing the socio-economy, ensuring national defense and security, and foreign affairs of the locality and the country, especially for Quang Tri - a land with a heroic history, rich in revolutionary traditions, with a particularly important geo-economic, political and military position, the homeland of many heroes, heroes, cultural celebrities, loyal revolutionary soldiers, outstanding leaders and currently Quang Tri is determined to rise strongly.
In his new position, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai promised to be dedicated to the common work, strive to practice, uphold the pioneering and exemplary spirit; uphold principles, go deep into practice; and be determined to work with the Standing Committee, the Party Executive Committee and the entire political system of the province to promote solidarity, unity, intelligence, collective strength, seize opportunities, overcome challenges, and focus on implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam during his visit and work in Quang Tri province last October.

Implementing the direction of the Central Committee, Party organizations at all levels, including Quang Tri province, are and will vigorously implement key contents: Summarizing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and implementing the plan to streamline the organizational apparatus; making efforts to remove difficulties and obstacles, promoting key programs and projects, especially in infrastructure and energy; doing well in personnel work, preparing human resources; doing well in social security work, repaying gratitude; organizing well major anniversaries and especially preparing all aspects to successfully organize Party congresses at all levels, towards the 18th Quang Tri Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress.

Personally, I hope to receive guidance and assistance from revolutionary veterans and leaders of previous generations; at the same time, I request members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, agencies, units, and all cadres, party members and people of all ethnic groups in the province to coordinate and complete the assigned tasks.
