Announcement of 1/2,000 planning of Industrial Park in the West of Thanh Hoa city

According to Decision No. 2643/QD-UBND, dated June 25, 2024 of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the planning scope belongs to the administrative boundaries of Dong Tien and Dong Thang communes, Trieu Son district; Dong Hoa, Dong Yen, Dong Van, Dong Phu communes, Dong Son district.

The planned area is about 645.2 hectares. This is a multi-industry industrial park, applying high technology, environmentally friendly, prioritizing the following industries: electricity, electronics, telecommunications, mechanical engineering, precision engineering, automobile industry, motorbikes, construction equipment, medical equipment, consumer goods production and supporting industrial products. The industrial park's workforce is about 30,000 - 40,000 people.

Structure and planning indicators for land use, land for factory and enterprise construction area 447.94 ha; administrative, public and service land area 36.39 ha; technical infrastructure land area 8.12 ha; green land area 65.41 ha; water surface area 19.64 ha; traffic land area 67.7 ha. The industrial park is divided into 2 sub-zones: zone A has an area of ​​about 375 ha located on the 5th side of the road from Thanh Hoa city to Tho Xuan airport; zone B has an area of ​​about 270.2 ha located on the 5th side of the road from Thanh Hoa city to Tho Xuan airport.

At the ceremony, local units agreed to promote propaganda and widely disseminate the core contents of the planning to all levels, sectors, business communities, and people of all walks of life, in order to create unity of awareness and consensus among the people, thereby having high determination, great efforts, drastic and effective actions in implementing the planning.

Based on the planning content, the People's Committees of Trieu Son and Dong Son districts, together with relevant units, according to their assigned functions and tasks, coordinate to organize and implement the planning to ensure consistency, synchronization, and science, especially in planning management and boundary marking according to the planning. It is requested that the communes in the planning create the most favorable conditions to arrange sufficient land funds to implement the projects.

Also at the ceremony, representatives of the leaders of the Nghi Son Economic Zone Management Board and Industrial Parks handed over the 1/2000 scale Construction Zoning Plan of the industrial park west of Thanh Hoa city, Thanh Hoa province to representatives of the People's Committee of Trieu Son district and the People's Committee of Dong Son district to coordinate the implementation of planning-related contents according to the set roadmap.

According to Nguoi Dua Tin's research, the Thanh Hoa City Western Industrial Park project is currently being closely monitored by Sumitomo Group and is expected to be granted an investment certificate in 2024. In the period of 2024 - 2025, the project will be implemented with a total investment capital of more than 400 million USD (equivalent to about 9,500 billion VND).
