(Dan Tri) - As of December 31, 2024, the whole country had 208 higher education institutions that met domestic and international quality accreditation standards.
The Ministry of Education and Training also announced that more than 2,200 higher education training programs have met quality accreditation standards, as of December 31.
Specifically, 196 universities and 11 pedagogical colleges have been inspected and recognized as meeting educational quality standards by domestic educational quality inspection organizations.

In particular, the Ministry of Education and Training also announced schools that have been inspected and recognized as meeting educational quality standards by foreign quality inspection organizations, including 12 higher education institutions:
University of Technology (VNU-HCM); University of Technology (University of Danang); Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Hanoi University of Civil Engineering; University of Natural Sciences (VNU-Hanoi); Ton Duc Thang University; International University (VNU-HCM); University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City; British University Vietnam (BUV); University of Science and Technology Hanoi; Van Lang University; National Economics University.
Thus, the number of higher education institutions that have been inspected and granted certificates reached 86.3%. If including the police and military sectors, 208/278 higher education institutions have been inspected for quality, reaching a rate of 74.8%.
According to the Department of Quality Management - Ministry of Education and Training, there are currently 269 units that have completed the first cycle self-assessment report according to the domestic standards; including 247 universities and 22 pedagogical colleges.
The number of schools completing self-assessment cycle 2 is 127 universities and 3 teacher training colleges.
Recently, the Department of Quality Management issued a document requesting higher education institutions to implement regulations on quality management and quality assessment organizations to implement regulations on educational quality assessment organizations.
Regarding the work of ensuring educational quality, higher education institutions need to focus on regularly improving and developing the internal quality assurance system; implementing and evaluating the results of quality improvement after self-assessment and external assessment.
Higher education institutions have appropriate solutions in building and operating management information systems and developing training programs that meet output standards; enhancing domestic and international cooperation on quality assurance; ensuring quantity and improving the capacity of the quality assurance team.
