After nearly 1 hour of trading in green, the main indices struggled around the reference level with liquidity decreasing due to investors' cautious sentiment.
Most of the industry groups with quite positive growth narrowed at the end of this morning's session. The focus was on the pharmaceutical group, when DHT increased to the ceiling, VDP increased by 6.6%, IMP increased by 3.7%; DBD, DCL, DHG increased slightly.
At the end of the morning session on July 15, VN-Index increased by 3.53 points, equivalent to 0.28% to 1,284.28 points. The entire floor had 193 stocks increasing and 193 stocks decreasing.

In the afternoon session, selling pressure increased, causing the market to reverse and decrease. The pharmaceutical group continued to be a bright spot.
At the end of the trading session on July 15, VN-Index decreased by 0.93 points, equivalent to 0.07% to 1,279.82 points. The entire floor had 167 stocks increasing, 262 stocks decreasing, and 86 stocks remaining unchanged.
HNX-Index decreased 0.18 points to 244.84 points. The entire floor had 79 stocks increasing, 86 stocks decreasing and 49 stocks remaining unchanged. UPCoM-Index decreased 0.23 points to 97.92 points.
The trio of Vingroup stocks put pressure on the index by taking away more than 1.1 points from the market, with VHM leading the index's decline. Other stocks in the real estate group also ended the session with a loss, including NVL, DIG, CEO, DXG, KBC, ITA, DXS, PDR, NTL, IDJ. However, there were also many stocks that gained points, such as TIG, IJC, HDG, KHG, TCH, EVG, TDC, IDC, and BCM.
Vietnam Airlines' HVN shares also impacted the general index by taking away nearly 0.5 points, ending the session down 2.47% to VND33,600/share. Meanwhile, rival VJC increased 2.16% to VND104,200/share and contributed 0.3 points to the index.
The banking group witnessed differentiation, with SHB, HDB, MBB, MSB, CTG, LPB, and VAB on the rise. On the contrary, VPB, TCB, ACB, TPB, NAB, BID, VCB, BVB, OCB, and NVB ended the session in red.
The group of "defensive" pharmaceutical stocks continued to shine, notably IMP, DHT, MRF hitting the ceiling. In addition, the codes TNH, DVM, DVN, JVC, PBC, DP3, DHG, DBD, VMD, DBT, DP1 also increased well.

The total order matching value in today's session was VND16,677 billion, down 5% compared to yesterday, of which the order matching value on the HoSE floor reached VND14,235 billion. In the VN30 group, liquidity reached VND6,453 billion.
Foreign investors continued to net sell for the second session with a value of VND 1,670 billion today, of which this group disbursed VND 1,243 billion and sold VND 2,913 billion.
