In early September 2024, Vice President of Samsung Electronics in charge of Marketing for Southeast Asia - Ms. Cho Min Jeung visited and worked at VDO Joint Stock Company.

During the meeting, Ms. Cho Min Jeung listened and carefully evaluated the difficulties and challenges that VDO is facing in the process of distributing and trading genuine Samsung Memory products (DRAM, SSD, Data center SSD, Enterprise SSD) in Vietnam. Thereby, the two sides discussed and agreed that adjusting the support strategy from Samsung will help VDO optimize business performance and meet market demand.

According to VDO, one of the highlights of the meeting was Samsung's commitment to comprehensively increase support for VDO, not only in terms of product supply but also strong communication support. Samsung will work with VDO to implement communication campaigns to help raise customer awareness of the benefits of using genuine products such as quality assurance, providing full Certificate of Origin (C/O), Certificate of Quality (C/Q) and manufacturer's warranty.

Mr. Pham Hoai Duong - representative of Samsung Electronics Singapore in Vietnam - emphasized that through adjusting support strategies and closer cooperation, Samsung will help VDO optimize operating processes, enhance competitiveness in the market and strongly increase domestic market share.

VDO believes that with support from Samsung, the company will have more motivation and resources to expand the market, promote the distribution of genuine products and bring superior technology solutions to customers.

Towards sustainable cooperation

According to information from VDO, at the meeting, the two sides discussed in-depth and comprehensive cooperation strategies, from improving the supply process to developing the most advanced Samsung Memory solutions - applications - technologies - products (DRAM, SSD) to meet the maximum demand for high-performance systems and the increasing application of new artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the market in Vietnam and internationally.

In addition, the two sides also aim to strengthen the implementation of effective communication campaigns, events to introduce and train genuine Samsung Memory products, encourage customers to choose products through official distribution channels, ensure quality, stability and continuity for systems; reduce the risk and rate of errors, incidents and interruptions when operating large-scale information technology systems/cloud computing infrastructure operating at high efficiency and performance (high load).

Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, Chairman of VDO, shared: “Samsung Electronics is the world's largest manufacturer of memory chips (DRAM). In Vietnam, Samsung's DRAM and SSD market has great capacity, potential and demand. If we do a good job of communicating and raising customer awareness of the products, it will help them easily access and choose Samsung Memory products through the correct distribution channel from the manufacturer to users in Vietnam. This not only ensures that users receive high-quality products with the best support and warranty from the manufacturer, but also contributes to narrowing down the sources of goods that do not ensure quality. I believe that our customers, partners and agents will unanimously support this direction."

VDO representative also assessed that Ms. Cho Min Jeung's visit and work not only solved current challenges, but also laid the foundation for a strategic partnership between VDO and Samsung. Accordingly, it not only helped both companies develop sustainably, but also brought outstanding values ​​to consumers, contributing to improving their experience and satisfaction.
